“Absolutely wonderful. My wife and I were visiting and checking out all sorts of local places and this one blew us away. Super friendly and helpful staff, delicious food (we especially loved their pasta and peach cobbler), and just a great atmosphere. Could not have asked for much more.”
“Wow! What a great little gem located in Mt. Pleasant a few blocks from the water. 💎 My party dined inside for dinner and our experience was great. As newbies to the restaurant, the waitress was friendly, kind and helped us navigate the menu as first-timers. We started ofd with the goat cheese brûlée dip which was light, flavorful, and the perfect start to our meal. We shares the roasted chicken with sweet potatoes and the fish and grits. Each was cooked perfectly and delicious. We cleaned every plate that was placed down on front of us. Post House did have a patio with shade and fans but it looked hot. Thank goodness we were inside on a warm July evening! Thanks PH! We will be back!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️”
“Enjoyed dinner with some friends on the patio recently. Our first time here. Delightful ambiance on the patio and service was prompt and friendly. The menu is interesting (in a good way) and creative. Most of the food was great (scallops carpaccio - yum!, butterbean burger) but a few dishes were not quite on par. The shrimp cocktail was embarrassing featuring miniature shrimp (albeit on a tasty cocktail sauce) and the fries were room temperature and chewy. Small details matter and while I wanted to love it I’m not sure if this restaurant is continuing to strive or coasting on previous positive reviews. We will try again and see if this was just a fluke off-night.”
“The cocktails are excellent. Far above average. Good selection of spirits also. The food was just "meh". One pasts dish had been sitting plated for a while by the time it was served. Another crab pasta dish didn't have very much flavor. $11 for a small piece of cornbread that tasted like any other cornbread. We don't mine $100 per person meals, but it needs to be attractive in flavors, etc. The burger was very good. Burgers and cocktails. That was our fond memory from a >$400 tab for 4.”
“Went to the Post House with a group of my friends enjoying a little Charleston vacation. So far we’ve had a great experience at restaurants and we’re extremely excited to visit Post House as it was on our list of restaurants to visit. Unfortunately our experience was not what we thought it would be. Between the 5 of us we either ordered the French toast or egg sandwich and the food was amazing. The part that ruined our experience was the waitress. We maybe saw our waitress 4 times in the hour and a half time we were there. We understand that we are not the usual crowd that will visit this restaurant but we were fully expecting to pay for exceptional food and service. One of our girls asked for a side of bacon and when the food was brought out the bacon was not brought out. She then reminded the server about the side of bacon. 10 minutes later we then tried to get our waitresses attention to remind her we still did not have the bacon. She completely ignored us as she was standing next to our table and we said excuse me twice. 25 minutes later after we finished our meals the bacon was brought out. While waiting for a food we were not visited once to see if we needed anything. After food was brought out, is when we were asked if we needed refills at which I wanted the house lemonade. Which was then brought out 15 minutes later when I am almost through with food. To say the least we were disappointed.”
