“We first visited a couple of years ago and really enjoyed the food! Everything from the chips to the drinks and entrees was impressive. The atmosphere is also lovely, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside during our last visit and opted for the inside this time, though we honestly prefer the patio. One heads-up: parking can be quite challenging, so expect to walk a few blocks. Overall, if you're a fan of Mexican food, this place is definitely worth a try!”

“Really enjoyed this spot; great location and food was on point! (So was service!) Sat down to a nice outdoor table, enjoying a perfect La Jolla afternoon. Got my bottle of water which I like. Chips and salsa were great..and free! Ordered two tacos; Carnitas and Filet Mignion. Also had the lime rice and black bean side. All this made for a very good lunch in LA Jolla. #worthit”

“Stopped by for my first visit and thoroughly enjoyed my tacos, chips and salsas. Menu recommends three tacos ... so, not knowing any better, I ordered three. It was more than enough food! For tacos, I got the Filet Mignon, the Baja Fish and the Crispy Chicken. I liked them all. I might just get two next time. I also got the Salsa Flight along with the "housemade molcajete salsa" they bring with chips. I liked all of them. Chips were good too - and not too salty.”

“If you haven’t been to Puesto yet, you’re seriously missing out. The tacos are another level (it reminds me of when I travel to Mexico) the flavor of every dish is perfectly balanced, and you can tell everything is made with QUALITY ingredients. The blue tortillas alone are amazing! They are soft, flavorful, and elevates every single bite. The menu has a lot of variety, whether you’re into classic options or something a little more unique, and everything comes out looking as good as it tastes. (My go to tacos are always the •shrimp tamarindo •filet mignon and •nogada guacamole •the passion fruit ceviche and you have to try their •pistachio tres leches desert🤤 for drinks the margaritas are soo good if you like alcohol, but my go to is always the •passion fruit agua fresca or •horchata) The vibes at the restaurant is super lively, fun, and perfect for a night out with friends or a cute dinner spot. In my opinion good for any type of occasion. (It is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, and I’m pretty picky) Yes, it may be on the pricier side, but the quality and experience make it worth it. The service is always great and everything tastes wonderful.”

“We had an amazing dinner, thanks in large part to our server, Izzy. She was friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating—everything you hope for in a great server. She offered thoughtful menu suggestions and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. When we mentioned we were cold, she immediately brought over a heating lamp. Later, when we wanted to share a dessert but my son preferred a different one, she happily made it happen. The wait time was shorter than at other nearby restaurants, and the food was absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.”
