“We had an absolutely incredible experience at Rusty Pelican! We booked the Chef’s Table experience for a birthday celebration, and it exceeded every expectation. A huge thank you to Rusty Pelican, our server Noelia who made us feel genuinely welcomed and provided attentive, seamless service throughout the evening. Chef Diego created an outstanding culinary experience, every course was beautifully presented, thoughtfully explained, and absolutely delicious. We’d also like to recognize Rafael, who helped make the entire experience run so smoothly and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The entire team made the birthday celebration feel truly special and unforgettable. From the exceptional food to the warm hospitality and attention to detail, every moment was memorable. We can’t wait to come back and highly recommend the Chef’s Table experience to anyone looking for a unique and first-class dining experience. Thank you all for making our celebration so amazing! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“Great restaurant with both food and service our server gio was the best a super knowledgeable about the menu, he recommended everything we ordered and every thing was great included the table side mojito service by angel. Everyone was great and attentive even the manager came over to check on us to make sure we were ok. I told our server gio it was my birthday and he made sure to make sure it felt special. 10/10 highly recommended”
“We came here yesterday to celebrate our anniversary and had a great experience overall. Unfortunately, outdoor seating wasn’t available, so we asked to sit closer to the view indoors. We were told it would be about an hour wait for this option, so we ended up being seated next to a very loud party of 16. Our server Yesi was amazing from the start. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and very attentive. She even moved us to a (somewhat) quieter spot away from the large group, which we really appreciated. The only downside was that several tables opened up shortly after we were seated, so the wait time we were given did not seem accurate. That said, Yesi truly made the experience. She was fantastic and clearly loves what she does. We are visiting from New York and would definitely come back, especially to be served by her again. The ceviche and calamari appetizers were delicious, and my surf and turf was outstanding. We also appreciated the desert on the house for our special celebration!”
“The scenery is so beautiful. It's on the water with an amazing view of the city. The waiter was nothing short of great. Very attentive and was "Johnny on the spot". The food.... Was not a disappointment. Everything was cooked to perfection. The steak was cooked just right and was vseasoned and juicy. This is a must go spot if you are ever in the area.”
“We went to Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne, and the place definitely has both pros and cons. Without a doubt, the best part of the restaurant is the view. The location is beautiful, and the atmosphere alone makes it worth visiting. On top of that, the food tasted really good. We genuinely enjoyed the dishes. However, the service was among the worst we’ve experienced in Miami. Everything was extremely slow and disorganized. The food took forever to arrive, and the overall attention was poor. Another thing that really bothered us was the attitude when ordering. The waiter kept insisting that we order more food, repeatedly telling us that dishes like the sushi rolls were “very small,” which simply wasn’t true since the rolls actually had around 10–12 pieces. There were several women at our table and we simply do not eat that much, but throughout the ordering process he seemed visibly annoyed that we were not ordering more. His facial expressions and attitude made the experience uncomfortable from the beginning. We also had a pretty unpleasant situation: a waiter dropped a glass that shattered into many pieces, and the glass flew everywhere, landing on our table and even on one of us. What was most surprising was that no one reacted appropriately. It never occurred to them to move us to another table until we stood up ourselves and said we couldn’t continue sitting there because everything was covered in glass. After that, things still lacked organization. They told us to sit at another table, but when we got there, there weren’t enough chairs and no one came to arrange them; we had to do it ourselves. They also didn’t bring us new utensils or replacement drinks, even though the previous ones were full of glass. In fact, the food arrived about 8–10 minutes later, and we still had no drinks or silverware. Throughout the entire experience, we had to get up ourselves for napkins and other basic things. And to top it all off, they didn’t even clear the plates from the table. What made the situation worse was that when we politely asked to speak with the manager, the host came over and told us we couldn’t speak to him and that he would handle it himself. Unfortunately, his response was very poor and dismissive. Later, the waiter came to our table with a passive-aggressive attitude, insisting that he had handled everything correctly, only to later admit that he actually had not. It’s a shame because the place and the food have a lot of potential, but the service needs major improvement. Personally, I would not return because of the service. And honestly, if what you’re looking for is a beautiful view, there are many other amazing places in Miami where you can have both a great atmosphere and much better service.”
