“OMG, I thought I had done my review for this fantastic fine dining restaurant. Well, without further ado... Let me just say this was such a wonderful experience! Hubby and I came to Hawaii to celebrate our honeymoon. We stayed in this hotel and this restaurant is on their top floor (36th floor) so we had planned dinner reservations in advance to come here on 12/9/23. They were kind enough to seat us right by the window where the view was AMAZING!! It was still daylight when we were seated and then when it turned into night, the views with all the lighting was indescribable! Everything about this restaurant was wonderful. From the impeccable service, to the delicious food (especially the surf & turf), to the live piano player (we conversated with him when we finished our dinner, so engaging) which made it romantic to the beautiful Christmas decor in the place, it made for a wonderful evening. We made sure to take a picture by the tree and that picture actually we used for our Christmas cards last year. If you want an amazing experience and really want to impress someone, definitely come here. We will never forget our dining experience here. “Lived up to our expectations. Actually exceeded expectations. Opens for happy hour at 4:30 for the dedicated elevator. Line was already there at 3:30. No reservations are accepted for happy hour. Good time to be there if you want a good view. There were seats at the bar also. Look at the Happy Hour menu. My wife had the $32.95 prime ribeye plus a little extra for a salad. I had a steak tips with mushrooms and onions for $10. There was another menu with happy hour prices that had my steak tips on it and the reduced beer and wine prices. Compared to other restaurants I don’t think the drinks were discounted much but I did have a beer for $7. The views of the ocean were excellent and you could even see the top edge of Diamond Head. Live piano music started at 6 PM just as we left. Our server Kalie did a fantastic job.”

“Don't wait for the the express elevator that everyone waits to enter at 4:30pm. All six elevators go to the 36th floor. The 5 other elevators stop at other floors on the way up. Ride the other five elevators at 4:15 and forget the long line in the lobby. They don't want you to know this! The cat is out the bag!!! Let everyone know. The food and drink is only a deal or worth it for happy hour. The NY strip or ribeye served in wedge size slices are pieces cut from their prime steaks that they trim before serving for dinner.. You must order immediately upon arrival because they sell out quickly. They vary from $26.00 to $33.00 depending on the steak. They sometimes offer the ribeye and NY strip with garlic mashed potatoes and their signature salad for $39.00. That's a great deal. The service is sketchy at best. My food came out before my drinks today. They can't control the kitchen at happy hour.. There were three different people working my table. I really don't know which one was my waiter. Don't count on great service...it doesn't exist at happy hour. All tables fill up at the same time. Only order whats on the happy hour menu. Everything else is over priced. You can't go wrong if you do so. I reccomend the steak and the filet tips with sautéed onions and mushrooms. The thinly raw sliced beef with arugula and capers "carpaccio" is a good choice as well. The smash burger is also very good. The neri toro (a deconstructed spicy tuna roll) is fantastic. The Cream Brule is very nice.”

“Wow, had a spectacular evening here! View is stunning. My rib eye was cooked perfectly, one of the best steaks I have ever had. My wife's Waygu New York was fantastic also. Our server was fantastic and knowledgeable. He recommended the asparagus and it was great. Bruschetta was perfect. French onion soup had amazing flavor to it.”

“Fantastic food and service. We went during happy hour. If you’re going for happy hour I recommend getting there at least 30 min early before 430. Line start in the hotel lobby by the elevator. Once in we were seated right away. For a large group of 8 we had to split up but that’s ok. It was nice going in a large group as well cause we got to try lots of food. Everything was so good and portions were very good as well. Had to get the steak as well which was delicious. Service was great and attended to what we needed. Highly recommend a visit during happy hour especially to save a little money.”
