“Great flavors and vibes. Even vegetarian options were tasty. Coming from North America, I was hesitant to try Mexican food in London. But I’m glad that I did. It turned out to be a memorable and delicious meal. If you’re on the fence about this place, I say go for it! One note: Their restrooms constantly had a long line. They need to build more restrooms.”
“Had a fantastic experience at Wahaca South Bank! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, full of flavour, and everything we ordered was spot on. What really made the visit stand out was the amazing service. A special mention to Karishnia, who welcomed us warmly and made us feel looked after from the moment we arrived, and Sabhi, who was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made the whole dining experience even better. Great food, superb staff, and an all-around brilliant atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back!”
“If you’re looking for fiesty flavours, fun vibes and full bodied tequila, you’ll hit the jackpot at Wahaca. The venue is unique making full use of the containers to sit along the Thames, while the service is attentive and knowledgeable on food and drinks. We got stuck into some delicious pork belly and fried fish tacos as well as some sautéed chilli prawns. Add a good helping of chilli sauce to boost the flavour. If you’re feeling really daring get yourself a tequila taster to sample three healthy shots of agave tequila which are as smoky and tasty as the food. All round fun vibes and great food.”
“Located on the Thames Southbank. Came for a meal, first visit. We didn't have a reservation but we were able to get a seat. Huge place and VERY busy, especially on a Saturday afternoon when we visited. Modern vibe to the place, lots of different areas, inside and out. Great choice of dishes at reasonable prices. We had quite a selection and to be fair, I couldn't fault any of them, they all tasted gorgeous. However. The service. It was busy, peak time, but we waited 40 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We already had two dishes before our drinks arrived. The young gentlemen serving us was obviously very very busy but it was too much for him to handle, not his fault but as a customer I shouldn't have to wait that long for the drinks. As I said, the food was gorgeous. The drinks were very nice when we got them, I went for the different margaritas .I'd love to visit again on a quiet day.”
“Came here twice. Food was great both times, but the service varied unfortunately. First visit: Sunday 7pm. Sat near the front door where we had a view of the kitchen and didn't have any issues. They sat us at a spacious table, gave us a highchair for our little one, helped us park our stroller, took our order, and brought out our food quickly. Great experience all around. Second visit: Friday 6pm. Again sat near the front door where we had a view of the kitchen. The issue this time around was the lack of staff. It seemed like they were quite shorthanded as food was always piled up at the kitchen waiting to get bussed to the tables. The kitchen staff kept up with orders, but there seemed to be too few wait staff relative to all the tables. At a few points, the kitchen staff were ringing the bell and yelling for service as they were running out of room to place ready dishes at the pass. When the food came, it was good but it certainly took a long time. We also never received one of the dishes we ordered, but one of the staff quickly took it off the bill at the end of our visit. I'd still recommend Wahaca. The food is good, the drinks are good, and there are plenty of options for vegans, but be warned that this location is very popular and could use a few extra staff to keep up with the demand.”
