“I spent two weeks in Copenhagen and had the chance to visit some of the city's most celebrated restaurants. And honestly, the highlight of the trip was the one I had saved for my very last day: Barr. Without a doubt, it was the best experience. The food was outstanding unpretentious, beautifully executed, and deeply satisfying. The team was warm, attentive, and genuinely interested in making sure everyone had a great evening. When I arrived, there was a small mix-up with my reservation, which I had made by email, but the manager quickly resolved it with kindness and professionalism. I also found the pricing remarkably fair for the level of the experience. The tasting menu is thoughtful, creative, and free of unnecessary theatrics. After visiting some of Copenhagen's biggest Michelin-starred names, my only regret is not having gone to Barr sooner. None of them delivered as much for such an honest price. I would go back a thousand times. Whether sitting alone at the counter, watching the kitchen in motion, or sharing plates, laughter, and great beers with friends. If your idea of a perfect night in Copenhagen is eating exceptionally well and having fun, go to Barr.”

“We had a beautiful dinner here. The space was comfortable and cosy. Food was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the tartare and the fish. We got really lucky cos we also happened to have the most brilliant sunset visible from the window by our table.”

“I went to Barr while in Copenhagen a while ago and it was easily one of the most memorable parts of my trip. The restaurant is in a cool location by the waterfront. The atmosphere is rustic and warm, and the service was friendly. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the schnitzel and the grilled waffle. Overall it’s a great place if you want modern Nordic cuisine, however it is on the pricy side. If you’re in Copenhagen, it’s definitely worth trying.”

“Overall: The atmosphere and the vibe of the place is very cozy and calming. The staffs make you feel at home. Upon arrival, the staffs were polite and warm. They ease me into the concept of their menu and explained it very throughly. They have a qr-code that you can scan and you’ll see the whole course menu for the season, from the starters to the mains, desserts and wine. I ordered the smoked herringbone for starters and the infamous schnitzel and it did not disappoint. The butter sauce with anchovies complemented the schnitzel.”

“Overall a mediocre experience. Food wasn‘t bad but nothing special either ( especially at this price point). If you go here, get the Schnitzel, which was really good. Otherwise I feel this place is just lackluster in the very competitive fine dining scene of CPH.”
