“This was my third time eating a Risposta bistro and each and every time I am completely blown away! I’ve come twice as a couple and this time decided to bring my parents and sister along to enjoy. We ordered the warm burrata appetizer, duck fat fries (we’re still talking about how delicious these were), the pappardelle bolognese, and the Angry Calabrian pizza (also a standout!) You’re not getting quality dishes like this for a reasonable price anywhere else in the GTA. Thank you to the service staff and the chefs…we will be back very soon!”

“I’ve been to this restaurant now 4 times in the last few months and each time it has somehow gotten better. Living in downtown Hamilton, good food is not hard to find but Risposta stands out in the crowd. The care that they put into the entire experience is unmatched. Growing their own produce, curing their own meats and making their cheese in house gives comfort knowing where the food has come from. Each plate is meticulously presented and incredibly delicious. I would recommend doing a chefs tasting whenever you have a chance because trying one dish here just isn’t enough. I can’t wait to spend lots of time here in the summer when their patio is open! If anything is worth a 30 minute, beautiful country drive from the hammer, it’s a meal at Risposta.”

“Loved my experience today at lunch. Overall really good experience. Shared the charcuterie and each enjoyed a salad. Ended with dessert of smashed lemon tart and Italian donuts and a cappuccino. I wished the Caesar salad had more garlic. I will return!”

“From the moment I walked in, I felt the positive and welcoming atmosphere and began excitedly anticipating the culinary adventure ahead. The service was wonderful and everyone was attentive and thoughtful. The food was outstanding - first in presentation - the creativity and visual appeal engaged the senses even before the first bite. Once I convinced myself to interfere with the artistic presentation in order to move from the visual feast to the edible one, I was not disappointed. My tastebuds were delighted. Everything I tried was exquisite, from the salad to the risotto and steak to the homemade pasta. Thank you, Risposta, for such an amazing experience! I look forward to coming back!”

“On the way to Niagara Falls, we stopped by this highly rated restaurant for dinner because the reviews made it sound like Gordon Ramsay personally blesses every table before service. As always, the higher the expectations, the harder the emotional damage. To be fair, the food wasn’t bad at all. The ravioli was actually pretty good, and my wife absolutely loved their duck fat frites. Me? I ate them, nodded politely, and still couldn’t fully understand why potatoes cooked induck fat are apparently supposed to unlock a spiritual awakening. The pizza was solid too. No complaints there. It did exactly what pizza is supposed to do: exist and disappear. Honestly, the lower rating from me isn’t because of the food or the service. Staff were perfectly nice, nobody threw plates at us, and the kitchen clearly knows what they’re doing. The problem is the price-to-happiness ratio. It’s one of those places where halfway through the meal you start calculating how many Costco hot dogs the same money could buy. And unfortunately… the answer is emotionally upsetting. Overall, decent food and decent service, but at this price point I expected at least one bite to make me pause dramatically and rethink my life choices. Instead, I just rethought my credit card statement.”
