“No pilgrimage to Canada’s premier culinary destination is complete without a morning sojourn to the RPM Bakehouse. This sun-drenched atelier serves as the casual, yet equally meticulous, daytime counterpart to the main estate, offering a masterclass in the art of the boulangerie. The selection is a curated celebration of grain and technique: from 'killer' matcha lattes—whisked to a vibrant, silk-like froth—to sweet rolls that balance delicate lamination with sophisticated sweetness. The house-baked breads, featuring a profound crust and an airy, fermented crumb, serve as the foundation for sandwiches that elevate the humble lunch to a high-art form. It is a refined, essential morning ritual for the dedicated epicure.”
“Loved everything about this bakehouse. Cozy without being kitschy, quaint without trying too hard. Everything I tried was so good — the garden grilled cheese was sublime and the baked goods are completely off the charts. You really can’t go wrong here. And the honey lozenges I panic-grabbed at the last minute? Elite.”
“Wonderful place with wonderful staff and great food. Getting a table can be a challenge, and there can be lineups for the amazing bread and treats, but it’s worth the wait! Plenty of outdoor seating when the weather is right. The staff are always so friendly and work so hard to get everyone their orders quickly. I love this place! It’s not cheap mass produced stuff. It’s quality, top shelf food and drink. I’ve added some photos from various visits in the last year.”
“A lovely bakery by Pearl Morissette. Came here on a Monday morning and it was nice and quiet.I liked everything I have tried. Their sourdough is really nice, fluffy and not overly sour, I am not a big sourdough fan usually but this one was just perfect for me. I like their sable as well, it's very buttery, like a soft shortbread very similar to the French pastry gateau Breton.”
“Last weekend we stopped in at RPM Bakehouse for breakfast and were really impressed overall. The breakfast sandwich was nicely balanced, and the French toast had just the right mix of sweet and savoury. The croissant was served cold and a little on the greasy side, but still better than most places. The coffee can be a bit inconsistent, though – it really depends which barista is on that day – but when it’s good, it’s very good. We also bought a loaf of bread to take home, which was very good. Prices are on the higher side, but you do feel you’re paying for quality.”
