Located in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, RPM Italian is modern in approach and Italian in spirit, featuring a contemporary menu with dishes meant to be shared. The sister restaurant to RPM Steak and RPM Seafood, RPM Italian marks the first collaboration between partners RJ, Jerrod and Molly Melman of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises and celebrity couple Giuliana & Bill Rancic.
“The restaurant is really large and bustling, and our server, DJ, was quite nice. The meatballs were delicious! The Chicken Parm was pretty good, though the chicken itself was a tiny bit dry. I thought the short rib pasta was just average, as there wasn't a lot of meat in it. However, the shrimp linguine was great and pleasantly mildly spicy. To finish, the tiramisu was delicious and not overly sweet.”
“One of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city and such a great place for a special occasion. The ambiance is elegant and inviting, with attentive wait staff dressed in suit jackets that make the whole experience feel elevated. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the seating is comfortable, and the atmosphere creates a really warm and enjoyable dining experience. I have been here a few times now and absolutely love it every visit. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the food is easily the highlight of the night. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients in every dish, and honestly, everything on the menu is incredibly delicious. I would maybe add a little more lighting, but that is such a small detail compared to how wonderful everything else is.”
“This place was amazing. My daughters took me there for my birthday. Food was great waitress was wonderful service was on point. I luv them. Minimal menu which I liked, for 4 people average 500 I believe with out tip seeing as my daughters paid for everything. We had reservations otherwise it looks like theres a wait. Luv them”
“A literal dream of a dinner. I have been a fan girl of Giuliana Rancic since high school and always wanted to make it to RPM and at last I accomplished the mission. The staff: excellent. The atmosphere: perfect. The service: fantastic. Definitely have dinner at RPM. The serving sizes are a bit on the smaller side (but not too small) so we got three entrees and shared them. They spaced out the entrees to not overwhelm us which was nice. I don’t have a single complaint and you won’t either. GET THOSE NOODLES. Tiramisu on a rating of 0 (worst Tiramisu aka tiramisu at Ritz Carlton Aruba) to 10 (the best Tiramisu aka tiramisu from The DASH kitchen in PA) I give it a 6.8… look, it was good, I ate it but I’m into a classic tiramisu and this had a bit of its own spin on it which is fine and it was still good, but I preferred my tiramisu from Eataly the day before.”
“The restaurant was decent overall. The food came out quickly, and the staff were attentive and well-mannered. The flavors were okay, but some dishes felt uneven — either too salty or not seasoned enough, and there were too many large tomatoes in the bowl. We’ve tried other locations before, and it felt better a few years ago. We recently visited the DC location as well, which I personally prefer over the Chicago one. The service here is nice, but the gluten-free menu wasn’t as good as expected.”
