“This neighborhood has been crying out for a new restaurant and sports bar. Stopped by to watch some playoff basketball and had a great experience. Mac and cheese was creamy with a nice crunch from the pancetta, and the fish tacos were excellent. Great service too. Will definitely be back to watch the World Cup and to try the rest of the menu!”

“Soma Social perfectly nails the balance between an elevated gastropub and a relaxed sports bar. There are plenty of screens so you won't miss the game, but the food and craft cocktails are a noticeable step up from typical pub fare. Great atmosphere, solid service, and just an easy, reliable spot to hang out in downtown SF whether you're watching sports or just grabbing a casual bite. Definitely recommend!”

“We were happy that a restaurant was on premises for our stay. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. While we waited for our food, we watched the barista repeatedly burn himself on the espresso machine, dropping the towel he was using to wipe the steam from the machine onto the dirty ground and picking it back up to continue using. We waited 25 minutes for food when it wasn't that busy. Only two of us dining, yet our food arrived more than five minutes apart. Two simple dishes ordered: Eggs with potatoes: Eggs were bland and cold, potatoes were more onions than potatoes and potatoes were hard as a rock undercooked. French toast: soggy and wet inside, burned on outside. While we made a half hearted effort on the egg plate, mostly eating the bacon, the french toast was inedible. We pushed it to the side and waited until someone noticed and stopped by. The person who seemed to be the host asked and we told him our food wasn't good. He responded by being pissy and taking ONE plate off our bill. We still had to pay nearly $25 while the only thing that was good was a cup of tea. Bad experience, and poor reflection on the hotel this restaurant is related to as well.”
