“Visited in May 2026 - solo trip in an Alpine view room. Felt like I had the place to myself. Rustic resort, beautiful Mountain View’s, a small attached village at the bottom of ski lifts that must be amazing in the winter. Valet was only parking option, kind of a pain to constantly have to request your vehicle to do anything. Only food option open was Alpine Hall - decent spot, very slow service, friendly staff for the most part - bartenders on two separate nights were sluggish and a bit uppity for my taste. Dinner was good, breakfast was pretty great. Front desk very helpful. Beautiful lobby, great to relax in and enjoy the views. Room was on 5th floor and had beautiful views. Very enjoyable trip! Be warned, closest food outside the resort is 5+ miles away and everything closes early. Will definitely visit again!”
“Exceptional The Lodge at Spruce Peak As a World of Hyatt Globalist member, I have stayed at Hyatt properties all over the world, and I want to recognize an outstanding experience at The Lodge at Spruce Peak, a Destination by Hyatt property. Due to an unexpected and very stressful situation with a local Airbnb in Stowe, VT, my family and I were effectively stranded on my girls birthday. I contacted Hyatt’s phone sales team and explained that I had just stayed at the Lodge the prior week and was seeking assistance. From that point forward, the experience exemplified exactly what Hyatt hospitality is meant to be. Diana a Manager, was exceptional professional, kind, calm, and genuinely empathetic. She was able to secure accommodations for my family on short notice and completely transformed what had been a difficult situation into an outstanding stay. It was also my girlfriend’s birthday week, and thanks to Diana, the stay became a memorable and meaningful experience that exceeded our previous visit. This level of service reflects the very best of the World of Hyatt brand. Many properties Hyatt and otherwise would benefit from having a leader like Diana at their front desk. Additional highlights of the stay: Excellent dining experiences, particularly dinner (the pepper steak was outstanding) Consistently helpful and professional valet staff Exemplary bell staff and ski valet service Clean, well-designed, and comfortable rooms Top-tier mountain operations and resort staff throughout the property The Lodge at Spruce Peak truly delivers on Hyatt’s commitment to care, service, and guest experience. I highly recommend this property and look forward to staying again.”
“We come to this hotel every year to ski sometimes and it’s an amazing hotel but this time we unfortunately when we arrived we got this room that only views the parking lot. We asked for another room. Through persistence we got a room we enjoyed that has a Mountain View. A cool addition to this resort is that there are refillable bottles. I hope this review helped”
“We’ve stayed here multiple times during ski season and have always had a wonderful experience, which is why this visit was a little disappointing for us. The property itself is still beautiful, and we truly enjoy the location and family friendly atmosphere, which is why we already booked another stay for this coming winter. This was our first summer visit over Memorial Day weekend, and unfortunately the resort seemed noticeably understaffed and unprepared for the holiday volume. Service throughout the property felt overwhelmed at times, especially during breakfast and valet. Breakfast each morning involved extremely long waits, with lines extending outside the restaurant. Service everywhere took significantly longer than expected. While holiday weekends are naturally busy, it felt like the resort underestimated the number of guests and did not staff accordingly. One small interaction that stood out to us happened while we were waiting in the lobby for our car before heading out to dinner. Our 7 year old daughter suddenly became very thirsty, and since our car was arriving shortly, we did not have enough time to walk back to the room. She politely asked the front desk if she could have a bottle of water, but we were told that water had already been provided at check in and that we should return to our room to refill our reusable bottles. Under normal circumstances this would not have been a major issue, but with small children, long wait times, and a car arriving any moment, the response felt unnecessarily inflexible for a resort known for hospitality and family friendly service. Again, we still genuinely love the property itself. This review is more about hoping the resort improves staffing and guest experience all year round not just ski season, because the setting and potential are absolutely there.”
“We’ve stayed at The Lodge at Spruce Peak many times over the years, and it used to be our favorite family getaway. Sadly, our recent visit was very different from past experiences and ultimately disappointing. First, accessibility was a big issue for us. We realized during our drive that we’d left a part of my wheelchair behind and called ahead to ask if the resort had wheelchairs or scooters available. At first, we were told they didn’t have any, which was surprising for a ski resort that claims accessibility features on its site and amenities listings. When we arrived and asked again, they did have a wheelchair — but it was broken, so we had to make mine work for the trip. For a resort that advertises wheelchair access, having functioning equipment on site feels essential. Check-in and unloading were frustratingly slow — be prepared to wait to unload luggage and get checked in. The rooms have always been the highlight for us; the beds are very comfortable and the views are lovely. But the rooms could use updating, and housekeeping was inconsistent. There were multiple times we had to ask for our room to be done, and on one occasion the room was “cleaned” yet still missing towels, coffee, and trash wasn’t emptied. Service overall felt uneven. Some staff were friendly, but at times we felt like we were bothering people by asking simple questions. This was disappointing, especially given the high nightly rates. The updated valet/parking system also needs work. Valet is significantly cheaper than self-parking, but even when requesting your car through the electronic system you still need to check in with the valet staff and often wait 15–30 minutes for your vehicle. While the valet attendants were very kind, the process itself isn’t smooth or efficient. Some accessible parking is available, but it’s only in the garage — not close to the entrance — making winter mobility harder. We also found the resort not as wheelchair-friendly as described — several common areas were difficult to navigate without assistance, and an indoor lift phone meant to call staff didn’t work during our stay, forcing us to take a long way around to access certain spaces. On-site restaurants were okay, but overpriced for the quality, and some staff seemed unsure about ingredients or allergy details — something travelers should know ahead of time. Overall, this experience was a let-down compared to what we remembered. It used to be special for our family, but with service, accessibility, and housekeeping issues, we probably won’t return. I hope management takes guest feedback seriously and addresses these service and accessibility gaps.”
