“Went to the olde red lion for Thursday steak night. Had the Ribeye and was cooked perfectly to my preference. Washed down with a bottle of house red. Great value for money at a great local pub.”
“Had a friend over from Oz so we came here for beers and food in a lovely old pub in a village, knowing it’s decent from the excellent roast I had last May. It was great again, the charcuterie board was really good quality ingredients, the brisket pie was homemade and top notch as was the rib eye. The service was great too, really friendly waitress/bar tender. We’ll be back for sure and highly recommended. Keep these independents going before only the corporate chains are left. Then we’re doomed!”
“Very kind and welcoming staff at the restaurant. The steak was tender, full of flavour and cooked to perfection! Definitely worth visiting!”
“Just had Sunday lunch at the Olde Red Lion Kislingbury (9th November) and this was the best Sunday lunch we've had in a long time, better than most chain pubs with reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend.”
“After so many friends recommendations I chose the red lion over the saracens head in Brington for my wife’s birthday meal, which was ok , but the whole bar and the back bar where we sat to eat was full of smoke from the fire, the bar person who was lovely said the chimney had been swept last week but I think he must have left his brush up there, it was like going back to the 80s where pubs were full of smoke . Make sure you sort this problem out before Christmas or you’ll get a lot more complaints.”
