The Inn at Little Washington

“We felt completely lost in a fairytale during our stay at The Inn at Little Washington where the service was spectacular and every employee went well beyond any level of service imaginable. Our large suite in the Carter House featured a comfortable bedroom and an incredible work of art for a bathroom along with a beautiful sitting room and gas fireplace. While the fireplace required staff assistance to adjust, the accommodations remained top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed the included afternoon tea and breakfast, and our dinner at the Michelin starred restaurant was truly delicious and made us feel very special. Our experience at Patty Os was a bit of a disappointment by comparison because the kitchen was slow and our food arrived cold, even though the staff there was friendly. However, this remains a five star review because of the breathtaking grounds, the incredible accommodations, and the spectacular hospitality that defines the property.”

“Date back to 2024 April Chasing a Michelin star restaurant to try a delicious food. Nothing to complain, just a location a bit far away from downtown. The food was delicious and fresh. We’re had a great dinner for celebrating my birthday.”

“Solo diner for Thanksgiving dinner here! There were high expectations because of reputation alone, and my expectations were completely met. Sometimes these types of dining experiences can feel intimidating and inaccessible, but this was hardly the case. The thing stands out most was the warmth of the staff. I can always feel a little isolating to dine alone, let alone on holidays, but everyone I encountered made me feel so incredibly welcomed. Of course, the food was a 15/10, but there’s something to be said when the details and hospitality felt genuine versus overly-engineered. Thank you to everyone I engaged with, including Chef Patrick O’Connell, for making the experience feel like a home away from home.”

“A truly amazing experience at both a world class hotel and restaurant. The hotel is tucked away in a very small town Little Washington which is around an hour from Washington DC. The hotel has a very unique style in a good way as your greeted with very bold colors and fabrics and a very nice welcome cocktail. The inn itself is not very big as the main building only contains 12 rooms. In total the grounds contain 24 rooms some all of which are beautiful though some of the full size houses that are available are truly amazing (and expensive). We stand at the Daniel Boulud room in the main building and it was beautiful, perfect size for me and my wife. The food at the restaurant is again truly amazing. From breakfast in the atrium, afternoon tea and dinner service at the main dining room everything was amazing. There’s also a nice casual dining option, Pattys Os Cafe which is right across the street. This was are first time visiting the Inn and will definitely not be our last. Is it expensive, yes it’s expensive. But the whole experience was in our opinion well worth the cost with everything that was offered.”

“Didn't stay at the Inn, just went for dinner. The service and atmosphere were exceptional. The tasting menu was prepared well but not what I come to expect from a Michelin Star restaurant let alone a two star. (It was a three star when I booked but dropped a star before my actual visit). The dishes were not impressive and some lacked flavor. We were really excited to try the only Michelin 3 star in the area and it just didn't live up to the hype.”
