“We visited here for my Birthday dinner. We started off with the garlic bread / bread that comes out with your dinner. Garlic bread was soo good and the cottage cheese concoction that came with the bread. Before our course meal started we received a complimentary soup in like an espresso cup which was amazing. I paid the extra 13 dollars for the Ceasars salad and I can recommend it with 1000%. The Ceasars salad was so good and refreshing.”
“I've been coming here for over 30yrs. There is a consistency to the restaurant. It is the definition of dining. The staff are professional, well trained and attentive without being clingy or intrusive. The meal is a measured drinking and dining experience, nothing is rushed or hurried. It is old school French dining. Bread plates, amuse bouche, palate cleansers and option of three course prefix or ala carte dining. The food is well prepared and always consistently good. On this particular evening I enjoyed the lobster bisque and the veal scallop with a Virginia flare - Virginia ham and crab meat. The amuse bouche was a lovely thick soup with hints of mushroom. We skipped a formal dessert and simply enjoyed coffee with the complimentary chocolate truffles. But the desserts are very good, for the record. The cocktails are well made and presented with simple classic style. The wine list is extensive and well curated with a sommelier ready to assist. From the moment you enter, you will be made to feel welcome and special. Fine dining still has a home here after 50yrs in business.”
“Founded in 1976, and celebrating 50-year anniversary this year. A traditional French country restaurant set in beautiful surroundings. Perfect for celebrating a milestone or enjoying a romantic lunch or dinner. Friendly service and a soothing, elegant atmosphere. The lunch prix fixe was excellent. The beef cheeks were flavorful, the beef medallion was grilled perfectly and tender, the veal was delicious, and the crème brûlée was done just right. A truly pampering dining experience and one of the finest restaurants in Northern Virginia.”
“This was a birthday treat. Highly recommend! We did the prix fixe menu and everything was excellent. I highly recommend the soufflés! They even brought us a few surprises between courses. Waitstaff were also attentive and helpful without being overbearing. We left full and happy. A wonderful place to celebrate any special occasion.”
“We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary here and we loved everything about the restaurant - the Strasbourg art, Alsatian plate, beef wellington, chocolate souffle, and the staff. Service was superb, food came out quickly, and the ambiance is intimate but friendly. Saw families with small children. Ample parking. Very scenic drive to get there. Highly recommended for special occasions!! (We honeymooned in France and visited Strasbourg so it was a very special experience for us)”
