2941 Restaurant

“How does 2941 not have a Michelin star? Our 2nd visit, I had the good sense to get the Chef's tasting menu. Selecting from two choices for each of 5 courses, I ordered the opposite of my most predictable canivorous choices for each course and went with the no meat options. As the rest of our gang of four went the carnivorous route. I tried each of theirs, all most excellent, but I thought my dishes were even better. The White Asparagus was delightful in flavors and textures. Spring Tarte Flambee, Artichoke and Goat Cheese Raviolini. The Hudson Valley Pekin Duck may have been a better choice than the light and flaky samosas, but by the 4th course, the others in our group were savoried out by the richness of the previous 3 as appetites waned. The Duck was well worth loosening the belt a notch. Chef Bertrand Chemel is a most extraordinary talent. This meal left me wondering where in France I have to go for haute cuisine to equal 2941. The level of service, timing and attentiveness of the staff, in particular our waiter, Marc, was certainly of equal measure. 2941 is one of the top tier dining experiences in the DMV. The cocktails and mocktails were well crafted. Sakura Blossom was magic. Yuzu's Revenge and Passion-Rita from the mocktails were also lovely. Try to arrive while there's still daylight so you can see all of the beautifully designed ponds and waterfalls and the most fascinating Salvador Dali sculpture I've ever seen.”

“Talk about an absolutely amazing dinner experience. The staff, the food the environment are all top notch. I eat at 5 star restaurants weekly and this is hands down one of my favorites! “First time to 2941 and everything was amazing. The four of us made our own tasting menu starting with oysters and the Ossetra caviar. We followed that with the tuna tartar and six ounces of A5. We didn’t see foie gras on the menu, but when we inquired about it, they whipped up a dish of seared foie gras on crackers. The staff were very accommodating. We continued the sharing with the lobster raviolis and a most deliciously prepared rib eye. The dinner was finished off nicely with the chocolate tarts and honey cake and glasses of Sauternes. All the dishes were beautifully presented to match the gorgeous space. Such an aesthetic space inside and calming and soothing space outside. Loved it all and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend the 2941!”

“I made a reservation and had mentioned it was for a proposal. Everything was fantastic. We had the 5-course tasting menu with wine service, and the server and sommeliers were knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed listening to both the server and sommeliers explanations of the dishes and pairings. They also made sure we actually liked the wine before fully pouring. They brought us champagne immediately after the question was asked. They did a really good job of both making us feel special and giving us space to enjoy the moment.”

“We celebrated our 9th anniversary at 2941 Restaurant and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere is elegant, warm, and inviting. The food was outstanding — every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. You can truly feel the attention to detail in both the cuisine and the overall dining experience. We were especially impressed by our server, Julio. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional. Julio helped us choose our dishes, made excellent recommendations, and created such a welcoming and comfortable experience for us. His positive attitude and genuine smile made our celebration even more memorable. We truly had an amazing evening and are so happy we chose this restaurant for such an important occasion.
