“Was craving a lobster, but also somewhere not too fussy or requiring a reservation per se. We got lucky on a Friday night and were able to just walk in and be seated quickly. The main dining area overlooks like water, and unfortunately at sunset the sun is beaming in. They could have used curtains or blinds as we were getting a bit cooked and burned even though we were inside. One table was wearing sunglasses. The boiled/steamed lobster was fantastic! One of the best lobsters I’ve had. It was so fresh, and the meat was easy to get and just perfectly cooked. It comes with two sides. You have to get the mashed potatoes. The portion is huge and they are so delicious! Our waitress was great and took good care of us. I’ll definitely be visiting whenever I visit for a trip.”
“I’ve been there for dinner on my birthday. It was such a perfect spot we got our table right next to the window with a beautiful view of the sunset. And food was on point with really nice service and drinks are also pretty good. Definitely worth it!”
“Excellent food and service! Both plates were great! We had main plate and simple no alcohol drink. Nice place to come during the summer. Family friendly. Indoor and outdoor sitting areas. Just come, you will not regret 😌”
“The Reef was one of my favorite meals of the year so far! I went on a grey March Saturday for brunch and it was phenomenal. Our server was attentive and friendly, loved her. We got the eggs benedict (fantastic), breakfast burger (home fries were incredible with caramelized onions on themmmm), and the most AMAZING focaccia topped with prosciutto, fig jam, tomatoes, balsamic, ughhh. Do not skip the focaccia!!! I can't speak for wait times during summer on-season, but this place is absolutely worth visiting when you're in Newport.”
“Lobster pasta was delicious. Calamari was good. Nice light batter with marinara sauce and some other sauce ( not sure exactly what it was but it was good) Great spot to catch the sunset.”
