The Reef

“Our visit tonight was exceptional. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and one of our children was having a rough time for the first part of our meal. We started seated outside but asked to be moved inside and were easily and quickly accommodated. Alyssa was our server and was exceptionally patient and kind with our moody tween. The food was excellent. And the meal was well paced. Our kids loved their sweet and sour chicken and coconut shrimp meals. I had the Mo’ Betta Platter with steak and the whole thing was great. The sauce on the vegetables was very good and I especially loved the way the steak was seasoned. My husband’s mojito was fresh and he enjoyed his sushi. Prices were reasonable and-by the end-a good time was had by all.”

“This was such a fun restaurant! My sister's and I were visiting Boise for a girls trip and we wanted to eat somewhere with a cool/ fun vibe. This was perfect! The food was delicious (the crab ragoons were my favorite!). They have a really fun atmosphere, especially upstairs on the patio! The drinks were amazing (coming from someone who hates the taste of liquor, this redbull drink was divine!) We all had a fabulous time here. 🦀”

“The food was amazing! The spring roll filling tasted homemade, the sweet and sour chicken was the best I've had, and the fish tacos were delicious. All the flavors were perfectly balanced. Definitely stop in if you are considering it.”

“If you’re not a fan of spicy food, be careful here. We had a large group here and most people liked their food. It’s pretty to look at and comes out in reasonable times. The atmosphere is delightful with loads to look at, and there was a guy doing trivia games at the front that people were definitely enjoying. It looked like fun. For food though, it wasn’t a good experience for me. I don’t do spicy 🌶️ food at all— and that limited choices severely. Even the complimentary chips were hot enough that my friends who like spice warned that the chips have quite the kick. I picked the most mellow thing I could find— “Mo Betta’ Plattet”— and even though there was supposed to be no spicy stuff, about every 5th bite landed on something terribly spicy. It was hard on my gut. That said, the place is still fun and interesting. I’d go again if a party wanted to for playing games and enjoying the vibe, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.”
