The Restaurant at 1900 combines the creative food and beverage talents of Executive Chef Linda Duerr, General Manager Keith Goldman, and Beverage Director Doug Frost, in a refined setting that draws on the modernist architecture of the 1900 Building. We are accepting reservations for our indoor dining room, patio, and bar. During patio season, reservations will be subject to weather-related changes. We do accept walk-ins, when space allows, but recommend calling ahead for availability before arriving. We are currently under construction on our 1900 campus. Please note that you may park in any parking space that is not labeled as "reserved" parking during business hours (M - F 8am - 6pm). After 6pm, you may park in any space, even if it is marked. You may also park in Pembroke School parking lot across State Line Road or 51st Street. We appreciate your patience and are happy you are dining with us!
“Perhaps the best restaurant in KC? I think it might be. My pork chop was fantastic. The salsa added just the temperment to it. It was cooked rare and was soft as could be. And huge. I could not eat it all. Had to take some home. The Hungarian oyster mushroom soup was light and tasty and served at hust the right temperature. Very unique. My wife loved her lobster stew seafood plate. The pound cake desert was dense and rich.”
“This place is a hidden Gem!!!! The service and the people are awesome and super helpful!!! The food is so fresh and very unique combination of flavors!!! We loved it!!! Is one of the few restaurants that has really good desserts!! And that’s why we loved it more!! They have a great dessert menu and very original!! We LOVE IT!! Thank you to everyone for making that brunch time unique!!!”
“Easily a top five KC dining experience for us! We went here for Valentine’s Day* and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. To start, we were welcomed at the door and offered to check our coats when checking in. Our service was extremely professional throughout and their timing was on point. It felt like we were never left waiting for the next course. The food was OUTSTANDING. Great presentation and flavor. I was blown away by the combination of flavors and especially the white asparagus and sunchoke soup, which was possibly the best soup I’ve ever had. A huge thank you to the chef and all staff at 1900 for a wonderful experience. *This being their Valentine’s dinner, I cannot speak to how similar it is to their typical dinner service, but I’m definitely confident they are great anytime!”
“Located off Shawnee Mission Pkwy on bottom floor of Office Complex. Laney was our server, she was knowledgeable and accommodating. The Manager/possible owner also came by our table to welcome and congratulate us on our Anniversary and husband’s graduation from CGSC. The interior dining area was minimalist and modern, but not in a cold way. What we ordered: 1.) Oysters on half shells $24.00 (4) the oysters were from Pacific Northwest. The combination of the dollop of creamy cheese, caviar, and oil gave the oysters a creamy, salty and lightly briny taste. Delicious we ordered a second round. 2.) Duck Breast $54.00 Duck was tender. The wine-pear sauce, miso red cabbage tartness balanced the Duck so there was no gaminess taste. 3.) Roasted Rack of Lamb $52.00 I ask for Medium Rare, but it was served more on the rare side as pictured. The lamb was tender and paired well with the cheese sautéed potatoes and carrots, but I could not taste the lemon mint sauce. 4.) 1900 Cookie Plate $12.00 (4) moist and flaky my favorite was the apricot wafer. 5.) Chocolate Mousse Crunch $14.00 the mousse was lite in density and flavor the crunch was from the cookie bottom and Pecina’s. Nice balance of flavors and texture. 6.) Irish Coffee (hot) $14.00 nice cream top and warm alcohol and coffee balanced profile. It was a decent meal, atmosphere was lovely, but not sure if I would revisit.”
“The star of the show was the experience a very attentive staff all around. From the beginning, they opened the front door, waiter was well versed and the manager even stopped in to check in. The food changes regularly. I’ve been there and out 3 times and it was better than I remembered. The drinks are interring, and tasty. The tempura mushrooms were delicious and loved tempura and sauces. The tuna hamachi was good but thought the fish could Have been thinner and more plentiful. The gnocchi was okay, didn’t care for the stringent. B it probably a personal preference. Also tried the chicken sandwich was okay, very large and difficult to eat. Overall a nice date spot.”
