“While it's Glory Days are behind it by a few, the property is still beautiful and well maintained. My room, a double queen, was very nice and comfortable. The fitness room and locker room are significantly better than most hotels. There's a very large and beautiful indoor pool and deck with jacuzzi. My stay did not include breakfast. I worked well into the evening in the bar/pub and enjoyed the Cubs game while I did! It was a fun environment. The location is outstanding, right near golf courses, the mall, and lots of really good restaurants. There was easy access to the highways and it was about a 30-minute drive to O'Hare. Uber cost $55 one-way with tip.”
“Absolutely beautiful hotel and property. We only got a room for one night to go to an event at Brookfield zoo but man am I glad I booked it here! Loved the balcony view in our room and the bed was insanely comfortable. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked our next stay in October for our anniversary. Next stay is more than a day so hopefully we will get to walk around outside and see more of the beautiful property. Thank you for a wonderful experience.”
“Very scenic and well managed hotel. Very clean and comfortable rooms, outstanding staff. I have to mention the beds are very comfortable making a stay at the Lodge very much worth it. The grounds are amazing to explore as well. About a 17 minute drive from Brookfield Zoo or Galloping Ghost arcade. The ambiance of this property is unique, it feels like being taken back in time to stay at a grand resort. Very cool property to stay at.”
“The hotel is pretty nice overall and fairly affordable for all of the amenities that it provides. It looks like it used to be very grand, although it is a bit worn down with some items not functioning properly (in room phone, hair dryer, and shower water temperature). On the other hand, the staff is excellent. They are super friendly and accommodating, addressing issues right away. There is a good size pool with a pretty spectacular arched dome glass ceiling. Just know that there are a lot of families with kids, so it can get pretty loud as the place echoes. The locker room has a sauna and steam room, which are fairly nice. We didn't use the spa or fitness center, but they are available should you want to use them. The front lobby is very nice and pretty quiet. We brought our books down to read by the large windows. We appreciated the valet parking, as the parking lot was down the hill and across the street. The valet was super helpful and we were able to get our car in and out with ease. The food is very pricey for what it is, so we only ate at the hotel once. However, there are a lot of restaurant choices and a mall nearby. One of our favorite breakfast discoveries was Tous Les Jours, which was only about a 10 minute drive. There is a fun rotary sushi place in the same plaza too, so that was a fun experience.”
“We were looking forward to the Prancer’s Pub Christmas Pop Up for the full experience. We drove 90 minutes and got a hotel room. 45 minutes before our reservation we got a message saying they could no longer accommodate us. As we found out there was a party that reserved the bar from 1130pm-3:30am. We were quite disappointed to find that we had come all this way and planned our whole night around this and to stay at the hotel. The front desk did offer free breakfast to compensate. It was a nice gesture, but did not help solve the problem. The pub was nicely decorated for Christmas and it was very festive. The bar was very busy, and the bartender did his best to remain friendly and keep up. We enjoyed some of the festive holiday cocktails. The hotel itself could use some updating. Our room was fine, comfortable, towels are soft. I would recommend the pub during the holidays, but confirm your reservation beforehand to ensure this doesn’t happen.”
