“Amazing food and interesting menu. We had the pork chop and the swordfish entrees with charred asparagus, and added mashed potatoes as sides. Easily the most delicious restaurant meal in recent memory. It was my birthday, and the manager, Jack, comped part of the meal. It's a "special occasion" restaurant on our budget, and worth every dime.”
“Stopped by for happy hour recently and was pleasantly surprised. Everything we ordered was quite good- from the baked mussels to the clam chowder. The portions were very reasonable, flavors were fresh, we weren’t expecting some pretty good seafood here. My parents, who were grumpy from a lack of lunch on their flight left happy. :)”
“Love this place, had the lamb lollipops for appetizer. Short rib and steak and shrimp skewer for entrees. Apple pie and bread pudding for dessert. Beware the pear and diablo margarita for cocktails. Everything was excellent. I’m from New Orleans so picky on my bread pudding but it wasn’t bad. Highly recommend the lamb lollipops, I could have eaten 20. Keith was our server he was awesome. Place has a very old fashion feel.”
“We were celebrating my husband's 70th birthday, so we were excited to have a good steak. The hostess seated us promptly and was very nice, even wishing my husband happy birthday. Sadly, there was a loud party in the upstairs room, making it difficult to hear each other talk. The steak was delicious but over salted. It was disappointing that the service was extremely slow, if not neglectful. We sat for quite a bit. The server did not engage, and we felt that it was a missed opportunity. We were celebrating a birthday. At the end of dining, we were treated like a free cannoli dessert was what we came for...never mind dinner with drinks and paying for bread. We've enjoyed steakhouses all over, (probably spent way too much at some) but this felt somewhat like a pretentious place that couldn't deliver.😪”
“I usually don't give negative reviews but for the price, I expected more. First, the grilled artichoke had a nice flavor, but it could have been cooked a little more to make it easier to eat. Most important, the Verlasso Salmon entree, which cost $36, was not good. They should have brought the entree on a cake plate, it would have looked like more. The salmon was a little less than average size. It came with 5 little skinny pieces of asparagus. So, I was shocked when the plate arrived. Also, they did not ask me how it would like the salmon cooked and it was made well-done. It was the most cooked salmon I have ever had at a restaurant and I order salmon frequently. I was very disappointed in this meal. I needed to order a side of mashed potatoes just to satisfy my hunger. My friend had the lamp lollipops and he said it was so-so, The Panna Cotta dessert was very good though, and if you eat there, that would be my only recommendation. Sorry to say, I won't be eating there again.”
