“We went out to celebrate new beginnings and they gave a special version of the menu that says congratulations as well as the delicious creme brulee. Our server, Grace, was very friendly and knowledgeable and all of the staff encountered were friendly and kind. She made wonderful recommendations like the lobster bisque instead of the French onion or the steak butter with herbs versus the garlic one. These were fantastic suggestions and were delicious. This was my second time here. Enjoyed the crab cakes and meatballs over the calamari. The brocolini was crisp and flavorful. The mains were both quite filling and satisfying. Took some carrot cake to go. Also tried both the mocktail and cocktail version of this berry drink and it was refreshing. Really looking forward to the next visit.”

“Our experience at Chicago Chop House was second to none and this was our first time dining there. My husband and I were there to celebrate our anniversary. Two days prior to our reservation they called to inquire about our selection on the Open Table booking stating we were celebrating. My husband informed them it was our 30th anniversary. When we arrived, we were shown to our table by the window that had a “Reserved” placard. There were personalized menus congratulating us, specifically, on our 30th Anniversary. Our server was Alyssa. There are not enough positive adjectives to describe her. Her attentiveness was next level. She struck the perfect blend of professionalism, wittiness and fun. The food was phenomenal as well. We started with Oysters Rockefeller which were amazing . In hindsight, we should have had something lighter as they could have been a meal unto themselves. I look forward to trying their lobster bisque or French onion soup in the future. For our entrees, my husband order the 12 ounce filet and I order the prime rib. My husband cannot eat his steak with any pink (a crime, I know) so they were very accommodating to butterfly it for him. He said it was perfection. My prime rib cut was fantastic as well, being tender with a warm pink center. Sides are à la carte so we ordered the creamed corn. It truly was splendid. Naturally we wanted dessert and were unable to finish our steaks so we had them boxed up. There was an impressive selection of desserts but ultimately we went with the Godiva chocolate lava cake and side of vanilla gelato. They also brought us a complimentary crème brûlée on a plate wishing us “Happy Anniversary”. We could barely move we were so full. Suffice it to say, we were extremely pleased with our 2 hour dining experience from start to finish. We WILL be going back again!”

“After searching the many options of quality steakhouses in Chicago my friend and I chose this incredible restaurant. From our entrance to seating it was smooth and friendly. Our server Josh was at the table before I was even completely sat down. So effortlessly efficient and one of the best servers I've ever had. He gave us many suggestions for Appetizers, Entrees, and Sides as I had gone over the menu before hand we were happy to see some of our choices matched Josh's. His explanation of Dry aging vs Wet aging was informative. We ordered the Duke of Bacon, and Bone Marrow for the appetizer and I got the dry aged Kansas City cut Ribeye and my friend ordered the dry aged Filet both were cooked perfectly Medium Rare.The sides we shared the Bacon Cheddar Mashed Potatoes and the Truffle Mac and Cheese. After all of that feast was done it was one of the best meals I've had in many moons. Thank you Josh and Chicago Chop House.”

“I celebrated my birthday at this place and I truly loved it. The service was excellent — everyone was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and felt comfortable the entire time. The food was exquisite, from the bread with butter to the dessert. One of the best steaks we’ve ever had — you can tell they prioritize high-quality meat and cook it perfectly to the exact doneness you request. The restaurant itself is very cozy, with a classic atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re in an old movie, and everything was spotless. For me, it was the best restaurant I visited in Chicago.”

“We had a wonderful date night at Chicago Chop House. The service was truly exceptional; our server, Nico, and the rest of the staff provided a level of classic, professional hospitality that is rare to find these days. As for the meal, the food was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes of the sides. While the menu is at a higher price point, the 40% Anniversary discount (valid on all food) made the evening an incredible value. Since I’m currently on crutches, we opted for a table on the first floor, which still offered a perfect romantic ambiance with great music. It’s a comfortable, high-end destination for any special occasion.”
