Cúrate is a Spanish restaurant in the Downtown Asheville neighborhood of Asheville.
“Katie Button’s restaurant did not disappoint. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly. We had the tender octopus, chopped beets, French bread with olive oil, and a hamburger for lunch. This filled up the two of us quite well. I hope to come back to try the prix-fix menu next time. I would eat here every time I was in town. I ended up buying a spice they used on the octopus, their olive oil, and a toothpick pig. A new favorite!”
“Absolutely amazing! When I was in Spain I was obsessed with the concept of "Tapas" & was thrilled to experience several of the dishes I had there here in the US. They were just as delicious, if not better! You can definitely taste the high quality & freshness of the food, especially the olive oil. We had the fried eggplant with honey & rosemary, stuffed piquillo peppers, crispy potatoes wirh aoili, sherry mushrooms & garlic shrimp. For dessert, the compressed strawberries with white ganache, meringue & strawberry mint sorbet was divine...the perfect end to our meal! I can't wait to go back to try the market fish & paella. Loved the vibe inside & our waitress was attentive, helpful & we didn't have to wait long for our food. They also have gf & vegan options. A+++!”
“We’ve dined at Curate five or six times and enjoyed my meal every time. But this last visit everything was just perfect. Had two regular items from the menu: the pan con tomato and patatas bravas. And the pork belly with crispy white beans and garlic aioli special. My first mocktail with n/a gin, fennel and lime. And a new dessert: fresas con nata. Mind and palate blown. Server was fab. Best meal anywhere in months. Thank you chef Angel Palacios. May you remain at the heart of Curate. PS: it’s likely not easy to staff a restaurant that comes with a celebrity owner/chef. You all handled the endless Americas Culinary Cup/Katie questions with grace.”
“Super excited to try this place after watching America’s culinary cup featuring Chef Katie Button. We made a reservation at the bar and got to see them in action behind the kitchen. Our server Kelsey was so awesome. Very knowledgeable, friendly and walked us through the menu and made some great suggestions. We ordered some drinks and a handful of tapas to share. Some of my favorites was the toasted bread with tomato, so simple but so freakin delicious. Crispy soft airy bread with a tomato spread that was spot on. Gambas is always a go to for me, the fried eggplant with honey was simple but also tasty. The octopus was on point! So tender and delicious. We could’ve eaten more but didn’t wanna over do it. We loved the vibes and it was a great first stop for us in Asheville!”
“Cúrate continues to prove why it’s one of the most consistently outstanding dining experiences in Asheville. Every dish feels intentional, deeply rooted in tradition, and executed at a high level. We started with the pan con tomate—simple, but done perfectly. The bread had that ideal crisp chew, layered with bright tomato and great olive oil. The croquetas de jamón were exactly what you want: crisp on the outside with a silky, deeply savory interior. The patatas bravas were a standout—crispy, fluffy, and paired with bold, balanced sauces that actually brought some heat. The verduras de temporada with romesco added a fresh, smoky contrast, and the setas al Jerez delivered rich, earthy depth with a beautiful sherry note. The macarrones del cardenal leaned indulgent in the best way—creamy, comforting, and packed with flavor without feeling overly heavy. The paella de la semana had incredible flavor in the rice—deep, rich, and perfectly cooked with that coveted socarrat. While the meat leaned a bit chewy, the rice itself absolutely carried the dish. Service was polished but warm, pacing was spot-on, and the entire meal felt thoughtful from start to finish. Cúrate isn’t just a great meal—it’s one you’ll keep thinking about long after you leave.”
