Cocha is an International restaurant in the Baton Rouge neighborhood of Baton Rouge.
“Excellent restaurant. Enrique, the owner, sat down with us and told us the story of this place. Food was beyond excellent. If you want great food and an excellent atmosphere this is the place. Make reservations. Thank you Enrique for a winners wonderful time.”
“I dined at Cocha for lunch. I was very impressed by the wide variety of offerings on the menu and I chose the Indonesian Noodle dish and added the grilled Gulf Shrimp. It was flavorful, full of veggies and with the added protein was great. In retrospect, I would have also ordered the steak as an additional protein. There was live acoustic guitar music and many patrons enjoyed al fresco dining. My waiter was very nice but a little bit green but with time I think his skills will improve. I absolutely loved the tres leches. I have eaten many varieties and this one was not too sweet and very light in texture. They had a clean bathroom but the paper towel dispenser was not working. The bartender had a few patrons who enjoyed their meals and conversation there. I would say that the acoustics because of the hard surfaces can make some conversations seem very loud. Overall it was very enjoyable.”
“See this is why I can't be an influencer. I was soooo hungry and the food looked so amazing that I forgot to take pictures of it. 😂 Ok, we were in town for Louisiana Half marathon and decided to grab a bite at Cocha postrace. Hungry as we can be, we skipped appetizers and went straight for the entrees. I ordered the Lamb sliders and ohhh boy, they were absolutely delicious. They looked incredibly appetizing as well. The quantity was decent too. I could've had a little more and do wish it was served with some fries/etc. Vernando was incredible. Him and his brother Enrique (who owns the restaurant) were great hosts! Enrique's wife is a sommelier and I absolutely wish I wasn't in a training block otherwise I'd have loved to try some wine. They have an extensive wine list. The space was very chic and live music was a great touch. I definitely recommend this restaurant.”
“Absolutely loved my experience at Cocha. I ordered the Indonesian noodles, the miso bowl, and the Criollis — every single dish was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was just as impressive. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the hostess to being seated, everything felt smooth and welcoming. The owner even made rounds to each table, which was such a personal and thoughtful touch. Our server gave great recommendations, and everything they suggested was spot on. Overall, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!”
“My husband absolutely loved his steak but we were a little shocked afterwards to discover it was $65. A heads-up would have been nice. When a waiter reads you the ‘specials’ the last thing you want to do is ask the price. Also unfortunately my vegetable lasagne was not nice. I’m sorry! It was awful. Full of some or other bitter herb.Yet bland, very dry and needed salt. Then my chocolate panna cotta which had a ‘hint’ of cayenne was so overloaded with cayenne it was unpleasant. I can cook better myself 😳😳 I’m really sorry and I hope this is constructive. We spent $180 for 2 people. The atmosphere was good. Wine was good.”
