“Had a wide variety of foods on the menu. I personally thought that the appetizers for the most part were better than the main dishes. The desert was amazing!! One interesting menu item that was surprisingly good was the pear quesadilla. The staff was incredibly friendly as well. Least favorite food item here would be the chicken wings!”

“The food was great. The shrimp was barely overcooked but the flavor was still delicious. The pork chop was perfectly cooked and the sauce was impeccable. The level of service we received was amazing. I've seen mixed reviews but our server was great and he had good recommendations. I think my biggest complaint is the wine selection seemed rather small given the area that we are in. Their menu would pair great with wine, but their main option was by the bottle not by the glass. We did appreciate the bourbon selection. I really wish that the bourbon pear in Livermore had a quality more like this location. Over all good experience. As for atmosphere I think it's trying to give off minimalistic elegance but it's also a little too close to a diner feel by the way their kitchen area backs up to the restaurant and the crisp black and white theme overall still a beautiful dinner or lunch location.”

“A friend of mine and I ate at The Peasant and the Pear in Danville for the first time and we enjoyed the experience. Greeted at the door and then seated right away upon arrival. Our server was very helpful and prompt. The food was fabulous I enjoyed the bread which was firm yet soft. We brought the works which had cheese and herbs. I had the pear tart for dessert and it hit the spot. I am looking forward to trying their other restaurants in Livermore and Walnut Creek. During our meal we were checked in on by people other than the server which was nice. At the end of the meal we were asked did we enjoy our meal. I will go back.”

“Came here for our parent's anniversary and they couldn't even bring out a nice dessert the host said she would provide, not a problem but why did you even say it??? The waiter collected all our menu without even asking my mom her order. He served our appetizers and didn't even get our main food order (we had to flag him down) The service was lacking. He barely came and our waters were never refilled. The food was mid and we had upset stomach after due to the preparation of their steak. We asked for medium rare and it was medium. They had an artichoke appetizer that I highly don't recommend and encourage to remove from the menu cause you can't even eat it! Ketchup and no other condiments being offered is diabolical. Totally disappointed with this place”
