Welcome to the restaurant that Vice dubbed “a Wine Bar Disguised as a Thai Restaurant”. Once you enter the loud, frenetic space, there’s no denying you’re about to have a one-of-kind experience. Inevitably, you’ll order a bottle (or more!) from our Wine List composed of natural wine. The list, one of the premiere natural wine lists in Los Angeles, was recognized by the James Beard Foundation with two nominations for Best Wine Program — that’s nation-wide! After you’ve ordered your bottle of wine, it’s onto the food. Chef Kris Yenbamroong likes to think of the food at NIGHT + MARKET as “LA-Thai”. Meaning, you’ll see the classic Thai staples like Pad Thai and Pad See Ew alongside dishes inspired by his SoCal upbringing: think towering Fried Chicken Sandwiches and umami-rich Pork Toro.

“Tried this Thai spot in West Hollywood for the first time. It’s a small, quaint place and easy to access, with $12 valet parking which is pretty reasonable for the area. The menu pricing is also surprisingly good for the neighborhood. Drinks were definitely a highlight. The Thai iced tea and the “Tai Tini” were both really well done. For food, we started with the chicken wings, which were just okay… a bit too salty and nothing memorable. The short rib pad see ew was solid and probably the best dish we had. The whole sea bream, however, was underwhelming. The flavor didn’t stand out, and it was served over a large amount of green beans that didn’t really complement the dish. One thing that was frustrating: despite asking for the appetizer to come out first, the rice was brought out early and ended up getting cold by the time the main dishes arrived. Service overall felt a bit disjointed…there were many different staff members attending to us, which made the experience a little confusing. Overall, not a bad experience, but a bit disappointing given the potential. Would consider giving it another try, mainly for the drinks and pad see ew.”

“Waitress rushed us. When asked if we wanted the bill even while we were still ordering over priced drinks we said no, however she brought it anyway. We were being very respectful and quiet while another table was practically yelling. I think this is better for a quick meal but not a sit down dining experience”

“Go for atmosphere, not for food. Make a reservation. This place looks fun and cute, but it is very loud. Pad see ew was cooked okay but still lacking flavor. Unfortunately all the food was bland and salty.”
