J. Alexander’s Nashville West End

“The place is very opulent. We were greeted with smiles and given a booth. Our server was amazing, kept tabs on us at all times. The food was lip smacking good! The avocado bomb was a bomb. The side salad was almost like a full size one. Great dressing too. Overall a great experience, will come back when in the area.”

“J’s is heavy in my rotation for good drinks and solid food. We dined in and our service was friendly and quick. The vibes are always right so if you want bar seating with people to chat with it’s the perfect spot or seated dining to enjoy a more intimate experience again it’s the perfect spot. My chicken was meal was filling and the potatoes were sooo delicious! I had more than enough to take home. We also had the queso and it was the perfect start. The cocktails are always delicious and have the right amount of kick. I would avoid the fruit tea but everything else is chefs kiss and the same with each visit”

“We came here for a brief lunch which was enjoyable and got the job done. Service was very good and friendly, and the food came out very quickly. Nashville hot chicken sandwich was good, but needed more heat/spiciness in my opinion. The portions were pretty big so 2/3 of us got to-go boxes and you def get your moneys worth. For whatever reason the bathroom was freezing cold, not sure if their AC malfunctioned but it was certainly abnormal. Overall, it’s a nice place and we recommend it! Very convenient location to JW Marriott Vanderbilt if you’re staying there.”

“February 2026 This was our first experience at JA in Nashville. The peim rib was outstanding and super flavorful with excellent creamy horseradish! The salad was fresh and crisp! The atmosphere was a bit down, not a good lighting and constant in and out of strange people who congregated in the parking lot.”

“We've been to other J. Alexander's before and left very pleased, but this location was an absolute let down. We borh got the steak frites and both were disgusting. Both steaks were grey and had zero crust or flavor besides the butter and had large chunks of unrendered fat that were entirely inedible. Ridiculously bad and a total waste of money. Service wasn't very good either.”
