“This is a teriffic restaurant, our first visit was this evening. The charcuterie was excellent, they raise their own pork, and cure their own salumi, The prosciutto was fantastic, nicely aged, not too dry, excellent texture. Accompaniments were house made picked vegetables from their garden, even house made Dijon. Perfect. Really enjoyed the Waygu Burger, wow, it was awesome, came out juicy and hot, right off the grill, dressed with home cured bacon, with a large serving of really crispy fries and a salad with a very nice, light vinaigrette. The deserts we delicious as well. Great service. Fair pricing. A really good meal. We''ll be back!”

From the very beginning, Christine was helpful, accommodating, and enthusiastic - determined to help us plan the wedding of our dreams. She took the time to meet with us multiple times throughout the process, thoughtfully talking through how to bring our vision to life. One of the things we appreciated most was her flexibility and creativity. Christine worked with us to design a menu that went beyond the traditional offerings, and even went above and beyond to craft our signature cocktails, including one that required an ambitious amount of carrot juice and crystallized oranges! Her commitment to making every detail feel personal and special truly meant the world to us. Christine worked tirelessly in the weeks leading up to our wedding to make sure everything was perfect. And when the big weekend arrived, she and her team were absolutely amazing. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the entire staff was warm, attentive, and professional. Every element—from how beautiful everything looked to how seamlessly it all ran—was a reflection of the care she poured into the experience. Beyond her expertise, Christine is simply one of the kindest, warmest people we’ve ever met. She made us and our families feel so supported throughout the process, and we honestly can’t imagine having done it without her. Tourterelle is a special place, and Christine is the heart of it. “AMAZING ! Imagine you have a big beautiful roomy house filled with your favorite relatives and friends and a couple of your cousins are gourmet chefs who are cooking one of the most delicious dinners you will probably ever have. Except that we just met all our favorite relatives and friends for the first time when we got there, that was our real experience at Tourterelle last night. Very fresh Oysters, chilled, and fabulous with FRESH GRATED HORSE RADISH. Octopus consummately tender inside, flawlessly charred outside, BEST EVER. DUCK cooked ideally red and JUICY ! Served on a pillow of PURPLE MASHED POTATOES !?! Along side superbly Grilled Vegetables ! I only tasted the Bouillabaisse, but all who did rated it EXCEPTIONAL. Enough of a wine selection that we enjoyed perfectly paired reds and whites with our food choices. We were too full for dessert, but had room for delicious Espresso Martinis. Our evening was a tastebud bash shared with a house full of hard working foodies who made our dinning experience unforgettable. Merci à tous chez Tarterelle !”

“We’ve driven by Tourterelle countless times over the past six years and finally decided to stop in with out-of-town guests — what a treat! Christine Snell, the owner, came to our table upon request and warmly shared her story about the restaurant. She was a gracious host, and her commitment to showcasing local artists (the current display was by Anne Cady) added a special touch to the ambiance. The food was excellent, the service attentive, and the setting elegant yet welcoming. This will now be one of our go-to spots for hosting guests in Vermont. Highly recommended!”
