“Great local Indian restaurant with flavorful, comforting food. I ordered the butter chicken with basmati rice and house-made naan, and everything was delicious. The butter chicken was rich and well-seasoned, and the fresh naan paired perfectly with it. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving quality Indian food.”
“Amazing food, we had vegetarian and shrimp thali with chicken curry and tandoori. Let me say the dal brought me home and the chicken tandoori was absolutely great. We missed to order raj kachori but looked great when some else ordered. Would definitely recommend everyone here.”
“Plume Algiers is an absolute gem tucked away in the charming neighborhood of Algiers Point. This cozy spot, run by a passionate young couple, brings regional Indian cuisine to life with fresh, vibrant flavors that truly stand out. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, bursting with bright spices and perfect balances of taste and texture. We started with the kaathi rolls, which were crispy yet tender, packed with bold fillings that had us reaching for more. The tandoori chicken arrived perfectly charred on the outside and juicy inside, while the butter chicken set a new standard for us with its rich, velvety sauce and tender meat. Do not miss the tamarind elements in their dishes. They add such a unique, almost cheesy depth when paired with green chutney and pomegranates. The iced chai, optionally spiked with rum, makes for a fun and refreshing twist. The service is warm and attentive, making the whole experience feel like a special home cooked meal shared among friends. It is a bit tricky to find at first, but that only adds to the hidden treasure vibe. If you love clean, fresh Indian food done right, Plume Algiers is a must visit. We cannot wait to go back. Highly recommended.”
“Regular diner here and big time foodie - Plume Algiers is my all time favorite restauraunt in New Orleans. The food is always incredibly delicious and Merrit and Tyler always cater to my garlic allergy (no other restauraunt in the city will do that for me). Beyond delicious food and high attention to detail, the owners pour back into their local community which I love. Cross the damn bridge and eat at Plume Algiers! You'll be happy you did I switch up my main course as the menu changes, but I always order the banana chaat and house made soda. Sooo good!”
“Thanks for an amazing meal! Everything was so delicious! FISH THALI Semolina fried catfish, sambar, cabbage salad, rice, naan, & pickle. Much love, Maestro”
