“The restaurant was really good overall, and I honestly wish I had taken better pictures because it just didn’t do it justice. Of course, I had to start with some seafood, so we ordered the oysters and the Spanish octopus. Both were a great way to begin the meal, fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. We also had some filet mignon meatballs which were a nice addition to the appetizers and getting us ready for the rest of the meats. For our main meats, we chose the dry aged New York strip and the A5 Wagyu. Both were excellent and cooked beautifully. The New York strip had that rich, classic steakhouse flavor, while the A5 Wagyu was incredibly tender. For sides, we ordered the baked potato and the mac and cheese, but those were the only misses for me. The mac and cheese was a bit too runny for my taste, and the baked potato was still firmer than I would have liked. Not terrible, just not as strong as the rest of the meal. The real star of the night was dessert. The carrot cake was absolutely incredible, topped with a brown butter cream cheese frosting that took it to another level. It was rich, flavorful, and the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience with standout meats and an unforgettable dessert. I’d definitely come back especially for the steak and that carrot cake.”
“Had an amazing experience tonight thanks to Brook, our server! She made my boyfriend’s birthday truly special. Her recommendations were spot on – we especially loved the steak, mashed potatoes, and truffle fries (our absolute favorite!). The chocolate layer birthday cake was a 10/10 way to finish the meal. The vibes were great and the music was enjoyable. Definitely recommend”
“All 3 dishes I had were fabulous. The thick cut bacon had the right mix of fat and meat. A little maple, a little smoke. The octopus was nice and tender. The portion was ample. The sauces on the dish went well with the octopus. I would gladly order each of those two starters repeatedly. Enjiyed the 16 oz. Bone-in ribeye for my main medium rare. Excellent preparation and seasoned nicely. Did not need to have an accompanying sauce or butter. Looked to keep my bottle of wine closer to the low end of price points. Very nice 2020 Cab from Washington State. The staff was top-notch. From the greeting that including a "happy birthday" from the host, to Michelle on service who was great with recommendations and was a pleasure to chat with to Mike, the sommelier who discussed wines and details of the online list. Everyone rocked the experience. Received a special birthday treat along with my 30-year Port. This may have been the most expensive solo dinner I have had, but certainly worth the splurge.”
“We went to this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend that lived in New York. I have to say it was our best dinners during our Christmas visit!! The service was fantastic and food was mouthwatering! One of the best meals we have had in a long time. We look forward to a return visit on our next visit to New York.”
“I don't understand how this restaurant can have 4.5 stars on Google. I went there for dinner with my girlfriend, but it wasn't particularly great. It started with the appetizers, which weren't served at the same time as they should have been. The Caesar salad was just too much and not particularly tasty, just some romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing. The ravioli was served cold the first time. After we reported this to our waiter, we were given a new portion. The ravioli was still cold, but this time the plate was hot. The main courses weren't great either, the stuffed baked potato and asparagus were also served cold. The only thing that was acceptable was the ribeye steak. The ravioli was removed from the bill, but that didn't make the experience any better. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, but thanks to Amex Dining Experience, I got most of my money back.”
