Chinese Tuxedo

“I visited the weekend right before Chinese New Year and the decor was lovely throughout. This is an amazing restaurant that I visited during a short weekend trip to the states. I came here for my birthday dinner and was stunned. From the outside it looks like a little hole in the wall restaurant but, on the inside it’s a 3 story authentic looking restaurant. The aesthetic is China town but also a little jungle vibe. The downstairs is a speakeasy and the server explained the amazing history behind the establishment. Everything I ate was chef’s kiss. I have zero complaints. I would say it’s definitely a little on the pricier side and more of a shareable style dining experience but, I think that’s what makes it more family style. I wish I took more photos of the food and drink but I didn’t. All I can say is it’s well worth the experience and ambiance. I will add, the washrooms are a little dark and I was mildly scared because I’m just not a “in the dark” kind of person but it was part of the ongoing vibe. Almost reminded me of the restaurant scenes you see in Rush Hour! Some items we got included: ‘Siu Yuk' Roast Pork Belly, Caramelized Chinese Mustard, Hot & Sour Sauce (pictured) Squid Ink Noodles, Shiitake Mushrooms, Salted Seaweed, Garlic, Chili (pictured) Strange Flavor Burrata, Sesame & Black Vinegar Dressing, Peanuts, Green Sichuan Pepper 10/10 overall”

“The waiters at this restaurant were incredibly attentive, particularly Ash, who was both knowledgeable and helpful. He guided us through our course selections. The ambiance was intimate and relaxed, making it an ideal setting for a romantic evening. We’re already planning our next visit! The food was equally delightful and flavorful. The oxtail buns were our absolute favorites.”

“The food was incredible, the service fast, and friendly. This space was gorgeous - the former Chinese Opera House - thanks Chinese Tuxedo for the best celebration for Lunar New Year!!! There were birthday parties and influencers taking pictures. We had the $88 banquet menu and the amount of food was obscene! Definitely stuffed after our meal. The oxtail buns, and hakashi crudo were divine starters. Also we ordered a burrata and cruller appetizer that was wow. Finishing with noodles, and fish and beef we were so full. But there's always room for dessert. They brought out two desserts! Everything so delicious. Gung Hay Phat Choy - Happy New Year and happy money everybody”

“The vibe and aesthetic of the place was great. Reservation is definitely recommended as it was pretty packed. Our server Ash, was great. I would say the best service I’ve had in a while.He had the best recommendations for food and drinks. The food is mainly served family style so there is more than enough to share with 2 or more. The food I had was great especially the lobster and oxtail dim sum. Crab butter noddles were great especially with the spicy chicken. I would definitely recommend to others and I will be back!”

“I found out about Chinese Tuxedo on IG. So glad that we decided to give it a try. We had the braised black pepper oxtail buns, crispy pork & chive dumplings, Johnny fried rice, tuxedo style Dan Dan noodles and the sweet & sour crispy prawns. Everything was really good. The tempura on the crispy prawns was coming off but that happens when it’s sitting in a sauce. I would absolutely visit again. The ambiance was very nice. Our waiter was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Christina, the manager was equally as accommodating and warm.”
