“Cute French restaurant in the upper west side! All the food was great from the appetizers of beef tartar, escargot and mini truffle raviolis to the mains gnocchi, steak and lamb chops. They have both indoor and outdoor seating; choose indoor for more of a formal vibe and outdoor for a more relaxed one. If there was one dish to go back for it’s definitely the tartar!”

“We really enjoyed our dinner at this place. After seeing the menu and all the healthy option they offer we decided to ask for a table indoors. The hostess kindly offered us a table right away. We ordered a few apps and one main plate to share. Salad de Betteraves, steak tartare, escargots and foie gras. All GF and flavorful. As a main we chose the chicken plate. It was crispy outside and nicely cooked from the inside. Delicious. This place is already one of the safe go to options around that area. You will not go wrong. Good job guys”

“Delicious!!! Outstanding service!!! Overall price Great!!! Celebrated my loved one today and she and I had an amazing dinner. We sat inside and it was phenomenal. The staff was fast and friendly the food came out perfectly timed dish after dish. We came hungry and departed delightfully full. The House Bordeaux was splendid highly recommended. As you can see from my photos we had plenty to try. We did arrive late for our reservation yet they where so kinda about it. I also had requested candles on our desserts of choice and they where completely ready and aware. I cannot stress how professional and accommodating they are. I highly recommend enjoying a nights dinner here. Thank you for the wonderful experience.”

“We passed by the restaurant many times and finally decided to try it after work on a Friday night. Luckily, we had a reservation; otherwise, we would have had to wait! We ordered some appetizers and two entrees. I loved the escargot; it was very tasty and reminded me of what my host mom used to cook when I was on an exchange program in France. I ordered a pork dish that was really good, while my friend got a seafood pasta that was just okay. Overall, it was a nice dining experience!”

“Strong odor in the entryway where hostess was placed, the smell was seemingly coming from kitchen. The scent was strongly musty, like a very old, very stinky sponge. Kitchen looked unclean even though we got there at 11:30 and the hostess said to us they had just opened (we were also the first ones to be seated in the restaurant that morning). I ordered the burger, medium rare; I have had many medium rare burgers in the past, it is my preference. When I took my first bite I had to spit into my napkin. I was surprised. I wondered if maybe it was because the interior of the burger patty was cold and slimy, and I wasn’t prepared for the texture. I realized entire burger reeked of that musty smell from the kitchen. It was not just the burger meat, but even the tomatoes, the side salad, and the burger bun. I thought I was maybe delusional or having some sort of olfactory episode so I asked my friend to try a piece of my burger patty and the bun. He initially was skeptical, but once he tried it, he agreed that there was definitely a strange odor and texture to the meat, and recommended we send the dish back. My friend’s dish tasted perfectly normal to me. I asked our food runner for help and he was very kind in immediately offering to replace the dish or to order something different on the house. I ordered the quiche, which unfortunately had a similar smell, but it was much less noticeable, and given that there was no raw meat involved I felt much less uneasy looking past that. I’m not sure what happens in the kitchen, but I would suggest taking a look… the staff were great, who handled this as best as they could. The ambiance was cute.”
