“Was happy to find this place after driving around Burlington looking for a spot to go enjoy a Mother’s Day meal with my mom. The food was extremely fresh and not too salty. The bathrooms were immaculately cleaned. Kong was extremely polite, pleasant and had excellent customer service skills. I cannot recommend this place enough! If you’re second-guessing, whether or not you should come here, let me save you some time and make up your mind for you. It’s fantastic.”

“Wowww I’m so impressed!! It’s hard finding authentic hot pot spots outside of Flushing but this is doing it for me. The spicy broth and the tomato broth are both so flavorful. The meat and seafood are all so fresh too. Would definitely come back when I’m craving hot pot 🍲”

“Mala Hotpot is honestly the perfect cure for a tough Monday. After work, grabbing hotpot with coworkers just hits different—and the deals make it even better. We went as a group and loved the promos: 50% off soup base for 2 people, and free soup base for 4. We ended up ordering a full table of food. The spicy beef tallow broth and house tomato broth were both amazing. The 9-grid combo (6 meats + 3 veggies for $28) is such a great idea—perfect if you want to try a bit of everything without over-ordering. We also got fresh sliced beef, shrimp paste, black tripe, and even goose intestines (which are surprisingly hard to find). Everything tasted fresh and high quality. Don’t skip the fried crispy pork and brown sugar rice cakes—so good. Veggies like tong hao and celtuce were super fresh, and I loved cooking the noodles in the tomato broth. Drinks were also a highlight—the house sour plum drink and the duck shit aroma lemon tea were both refreshing and well-made. The environment is clean and thoughtful—there’s space at the entrance to hang your coat so it doesn’t smell like hotpot, plus aprons are provided. Service was attentive, with staff quickly clearing plates and refilling soup. They also have weekday specials (like $1 meats on Tuesdays and free drink refills on Wednesdays), which makes it even more worth it. Definitely a great spot for coworkers or casual hangouts. Highly recommend!”

“Came here with coworkers after work and it turned out to be a great hot pot spot in Midtown. I had walked past this place many times before and often saw people lining up, so we finally decided to try it. The restaurant has a cool industrial-style interior with silver and red tones, and the seating layout is comfortable and well organized. We ordered a half-and-half hot pot with a spicy broth and a chicken broth. The chicken broth was surprisingly good,very flavorful without tasting like it was loaded with MSG. Definitely recommend it. For sides, the Thai-style chicken feet and brown sugar rice cakes were both delicious. The rice cakes were soft and chewy with just the right amount of sweetness. They have a great selection of meats. The diaolong beef was excellent, and their fresh duck blood was a fun highlight — very tender and smooth, almost like tofu in texture. It was a cold day in NYC, so hot pot was the perfect choice. We’ve tried many hot pot places in Midtown, and Mala offers a good balance of flavor and price. Three of us ate until we were full (and still had leftovers) and it came out to about $50 per person. The location is also very convenient, close to Times Square, Koreatown, and Bryant Park.”

“Second time coming here. It was not as busy as last time, but the experience was similar. The staff are friendly and polite. The food quality for beef, lamb and clams were all pretty good. We got the spicy beef tallow and mushroom broth. Very flavorful. The fried dough was not fresh but still ok. The sauces lacked variety but what they had still did the job. They let you hang your coat in the front so you won’t smell like hotpot after, but your clothes definitely will afterwards! Overall, it was a good experience although I wish it would be more reasonably priced for two people.”
