“One of my personal favorites. I visit NYC for 3 weeks last time and went ther 3 times. The food is perfect and the staff is very respectufull of my slow esting style. They are always changing something in the menu so everthing is always fresh and I can’t get enlugh of it!”

“As of today, I see Mido has 875 5-star reviews and am not surprised! Whole experience was great from beginning to end. They graciously accepted us as walk-ins and we went with the seasonal omakase. Troy, the chef, described each piece to us and even showed us pictures of all of them. I loved learning about the fish and the restaurant’s philosophy around them (focusing on bringing out the flavor of the fish without too many add-ons), and Troy and Richard made us laugh throughout the whole experience. They were also very accommodating about a dietary restriction. Would definitely recommend, especially for someone new to omakase!”

“We tried quite a few places for Omakase in the city and Brooklyn and this is BY FAR THE BEST omakase we have tried! The rice alone was sooo good, and the fish delicious, fresh, amazingly prepared! We got the Seasonal Omakase price point for $150 which included 3 appetizers, 13 nigiri, 1 kaisendon, and 1 dessert. We also got 2 extra pieces each just because it was so freaking good! We left FULL and extremely happy. The chef Sato was so nice and the rest of the service staff Richard, Zin they’re all incredible. Just come, you won’t regret it. Yuuum… 🤤”

“Mido Omakase Room was an absolutely spectacular omakase experience that truly gets everything right. My wife and I were lucky enough to secure a reservation a few weeks before Valentine’s Day, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip to Brooklyn. We were seated in a private booth, which immediately made the evening feel extra special and personal. The level of care and attention throughout the meal was outstanding. Honestly, I was surprised this restaurant doesn’t have Michelin recognition yet — the presentation, quality, variety, and overall flavor of each course were exceptional. Our server Zin and our waitress Alice were both fantastic. They took the time to explain each piece of fish, the sake pairings, and the preparation details, which made the experience feel thoughtful and immersive rather than rushed or overly formal. The ambiance is intimate and beautifully captures the feel of a high-end, authentic Japanese sushi experience. The atmosphere felt warm, refined, and memorable without feeling pretentious. Our Valentine’s dinner here was truly perfect, and we’re very grateful to the servers, sushi chefs, and owners for creating such a wonderful dining experience. Five stars honestly feels like an understatement. Highly recommended, and we would absolutely return.”
