“I love seeing different adaptations of Chinese food and this Korean-Chinese restaurant is showing me what’s possible when different cultures cross-pollinate. The jajangmyeon is homie and comforting. I can see why it’s portrayed as a comfort food in K-Drama! The real mind blower is the kimchi soup dumplings! I never thought I could put these two in one sentence! It’s unique, new, and delicious! Definitely recommend this place!”

“It’s hard to come by a place that does good jjajangmyun, jjamppong, AND tangsuyook, but Octo does all three really well for a reasonable price. This is definitely my new go-to spot for my Korean-Chinese food cravings. We split those three dishes between two people and were completely full with plenty leftover, so portions are pretty generous.”

“I’ve been coming to Octo since it first opened, and it’s still my favorite Korean-Chinese restaurant. That’s why this review is disappointing to write. On my recent visit, both the tangsuyuk and jjamppong fell short of what I remember. The tangsuyuk lacked meat flavor and the batter was tough, while the jjamppong tasted noticeably blander than before. If I didn’t care about this place, I simply wouldn’t come back. I’m leaving this feedback because I genuinely hope Octo can return to the level that made it so special.”

“Date May 26,2026: A group of us decided to give this restaurant another chance for there Korean BBQ, it was a total disaster, the food was mediocre , the service by some staff members were the worse I encountered as a business owner. A group suggested I try again, that is why I decided to give it a try. We brought our own sake too and were charged a $30 corkage fee. While we understand fees apply, the staff was incredibly rude about it when I questioned about the charge, and to make matters worse, they provided absolutely no service—they did not open the bottle, they didn’t chill it, or pour it for us. We had to do everything ourselves. Charging a premium fee without providing basic hospitality or service is unacceptable. Will not be returning." When paying the bill I questioned a charge of $30 for bringing our own bottle. I requested to speak to the manager and never showed up. The individual who took the credit card was so rude and lack proficiency in English. She was Korean or Asian descent with short hair and glasses. She was the individual I assume would ring up the charge at the register on the second floor. Tourists be aware because this area is more of a tourist trap where some who work there don’t care. I definitely will not be returning.”
