“If Copenhagen and Brooklyn had a very delicious baby, it would be this place. I ordered the sesame schnitzel and Danish pancakes, and honestly… I’m still thinking about them. The schnitzel was perfectly crispy, nutty, and somehow both comforting and elevated at the same time. The pancakes? Soft, slightly sweet, and dangerously easy to finish. No regrets. Zero. Everything was ultra delicious — the kind of meal that makes you pause mid-bite and nod to yourself like, “yeah, this is the one.” Dany, my server, was amazing. Super friendly, genuinely attentive, and knew the menu like it was his life’s work. You can tell when someone actually cares about what they’re serving, and it makes the whole experience better. Smør is officially on my “I’ll be back very soon” list. Come hungry. Leave happy.”

“From entry to exit, each morning I had a great meal. One day I took home lunch as well. The hostess is charming and helpful. I’m not in the demographic (2-3 generations older than the clientele) and I was still made to feel welcome. Yes, it is pricy, but the ingredients that go into the plates is excellent. I’ve never had soft-boiled eggs out. It was a pleasure to have a perfectly cooked jammy egg. I was visiting the area, and fully plan to return next visit. And I almost forgot, the drip coffee was exceptionally good. My first breakfast was the Danish pancake and it is better than I’ve made at home.”

“Smor is the ideal brunch spot in the east village - high quality food, great service, and good coffee and cocktails! the banana bread with vanilla mascarpone, blueberry pancakes, and the veggie sandwich were delicious. On my rotation now!”

“I’ve been to this restaurants regularly (about once a month) since it opened. Like others have mentioned, service and ambiance is best weekday mornings when there are few people. Service quickly collapses or becomes rushed or inattentive during lunch, or weekends. So avoid rush-hours if you can. The food is good - I tend to stick to the egg sandwiches, but generally speaking menu items are fresh, well prepared and fairly priced. One pet peeve of mine, which you can appreciate on other people’s pictures, is that the plates used for serving are too small; platters, salads, etc.. need to be eaten with surgical precision to avoid having food fall off the plate. Overall, good place to stop by for a morning bite if you’re in the neighborhood, but not a destination restaurant.”

“Smör in Clinton Hill is a lovely place I find myself happily returning to. The everything platter is always my choice, with a thoughtful mix of salty, sweet, creamy, vinegary, savory, and fresh flavors that feels comforting and complete. The atmosphere is warm and pleasant, making it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. I only wish the plates were a bit larger, so everything had a little more space.”
