A Refined Drinking Establishment by Den Hospitality in the West Village. Perched above a bustling corner, The Garret has been providing no frills good times since 2014.
“We had a wonderful time. Francis was a phenomenal bar tender. We played bartender roulette and she dialed up several perfect drinks. We couldn't have asked for anything more. If you're ever in the area, you _must_ stop by The Garret.”
“Good drinks, good service, nothing to complain about. Based on the photos in the menu is what it is to be expected. Music not too loud. Good for conversations. Fun spot.”
“Came on a Monday night around 6:30pm, and there was plenty of seating. You can make reservations in advance. My friend Shre chose this spot and it was quiet enough to hear each other without having to talk too loudly. Got the “Stanley Tucci was wrong” and was tipsy off drinking half. Solid drink if you’re a mezcal lover like me.”
“The Garrett is one of my favorite hidden spots in the city—tucked above a Five Guys, it’s the perfect blend of mystery and charm. Great ambiance, creative drinks, and that “if you know, you know” kind of cool. Always a good time!”
“Shocked with the doorman/security. We’ve come from the UK for my wife’s 30th birthday. We arrived at 19:30. He asked for ID. We showed him our UK government issue driving licences and he refused and said he can only accept passports (and that was New York law). We’ve been to cocktail bars, speakeasy’s, restaurants and bars all over New York - yes, we’ve been asked for ID - but our driving licenses have been fine everywhere. This guy needs to get canned - loosing the bar money over ID which clearly validates our age. If he had another reason to not let us in, he should have said. AVOID”
