“Great atmosphere. Food was delicious. Definitely get the broth at the end when you have a couple bits of fish and rice left. Levels up the flavor and taste! I recommend getting their Hojicha Panna Cotta. Been thinking about it since I left! 🏆”
“The parcels of mr moto is so fun! They wrap the boxes in paper and add a little card, like you’re actually receiving a personal parcel from mr moto ;) Dining in would be an experience but getting a delivery was equally a delight. I’ll pay his residence and office a visit next time.”
“Visited this restaurant for Valentine’s Day. We did the prefix menu where we loved almost everything we tasted. The house was busy and running late, so we were standing in a tight but cute hallway with 10-15 minutes to wait for our table. Once we got seated, Josh our server was great! We had the miso cod (8/10), onigiri(9/10), chirashi bowl(10/10), grilled chicken(10/10), and earl grey cake (5/10) for desert. Nice restaurant, wish the lights were dimmed to set a romantic mood to match the whole vibe, but would visit again.”
“A nicely decorated Japanese restaurant in Brooklyn. It’s best to make a reservation on Sunday to guarantee seating. They mismanaged our order by serving other tables that ordered after us. We tried Mr. Moto Sushi set and the Signature kaisen don. The side dishes were very good, especially the scallop. They serves high quality fish. Unfortunately the Kaisen don is Bara style (smaller pieces fish) that doesn’t justify the price. The hojicha panna cotta would be better if the tea taste is stronger.”
“Very unusual ambiance here. Looks like a posh old time living room Japanese style. The place has an enormous menu. The famous Kaisen Don Signature dish was OK. The fish broth that takes 60 hours to make was just ok, not super duper. We ended up liking eel dinner set with that broth much better. Sushi was an OK quality but not top the line high end than one could expect. This place is definitely worth a visit but the food quality could be a notch better to live it up to par with high end appearance. Good spot for dating!”
