Torrisi is a Michelin-star concept conceived by Chef Rich Torrisi that, in many ways, is an ode to Little Italy, but also a culinary journey through Chef Torrisi’s neighborhood. As you taste the dishes on the menu, you can almost feel the moment you arrive in Chinatown, or traverse the lower east side, cross Mulberry Street and smell the Zeppoli during the Feast of San Gennaro. A New Yorker both by upbringing and in his soul, this is his love letter to the city with the panache of his classic French culinary training, and the passion of his Italian American heritage.
“Arrived 30 minutes before opening and was lucky enough to grab a seat at the bar. I ordered the cucumbers, clam boule, tortellini, and affogato - every dish was excellent and beautifully executed. The service was elegant, attentive, and professional without feeling overbearing. A fantastic dining experience from start to finish, and well worth the wait.”
“Great experience and very good service! My friend and I came for lunch and we were treated so well from start to finish. We ordered two dishes to share, the tortellini pomodoro and the cavatelli with Jamaican beef Ragu. Both dishes were incredible, the pasta itself tasted so fresh. The tortellini pomodoro was delicious and I loved the sauce. The beef Ragu in the cavatelli was really flavorful and had a good spice to it. I loved the pasta in it as well. We were also given bread and butter at the beginning which was so soft and fresh. It was impeccable service throughout and the vibe inside was great. Would definitely come back to try more!”
“Really enjoyed our experience here. The restaurant is beautiful inside and the overall atmosphere felt very special. Everything we tried tasted very fresh, and the service was warm and attentive throughout the meal. The cucumber lemonade was refreshing, the bread and butter were so good, and the American Ham with Zeppole was one of our favorite dishes. We also really enjoyed the pastas and the cheesecake for dessert. Overall, such a great experience and I would definitely come back.”
“Torrisi NYC literally exceeded my expectations in every possible way, and I’ve returned quite a few times because it never disappoints. From the moment we walk in, Arianna at the front greets us with a warm smile and Hector makes us feel welcome every time, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is the perfect balance of chic and cozy. The service is flawless from start to finish, and the food is everything and more. To start, the sesame sourdough bread is unreal—so good, I honestly don’t have words for how yummy it is. The tortellini pomodoro deserves a 100/10 if I could—literally melts in your mouth, light, airy, and bursting with flavor. The chicken alla griglia is tender with a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the sauce… unbelievable. The Cucumbers Newyorkese are super refreshing, and the scalloped potatoes are herby, light, and a perfect side—not your classic heavy potato dish. And the affogato? Chef’s kiss. 👩🍳💋 Drinks are solid—dirty martini, Aperol spritz, and a glass of chardonnay all hit the mark. On top of that, the complimentary cookies and Italian ice are a fun and delightful addition to the experience. Overall, Torrisi NYC is exceptional in every way—amazing food, impeccable service, and a dining experience I keep coming back to because it never fails to impress.”
“Amazing experience and delicious food! We were lucky to walk in last week, grab seats at the bar without a reservation, and had no wait at all. Our bartender gave us excellent recommendations. The New York–style cucumbers were refreshing. The pasta was outstanding. The chicken was good, and the mushroom sauce was delicious, but I wish it had been served on top rather than underneath as it didn’t quite coat the chicken as well as it could have. The date cake and affogato were both fantastic and the perfect way to end the meal.”
