Medici in Normal is an American restaurant in the Uptown neighborhood of Normal.
“Had reservations here for lunch on valentines day with my husband. Ghe jalapeño popper dip was good. The soup was good. (red pepper something?) I got the bbq brisket that comes on top of mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts - very good. We have had the orange creme brulee before and loved it. No dessert this time. We have been herefor his work christmas dinner and it's always great. We have never seen swordfish on a menu before so he decided to try it. It was tough and lacked flavor, unfortunately, so won't be getting that again. Other than that, it was a great choice for valentines day.”
“I have been to Medici numerous times and it never disappoints! During my most recent visit, I ordered the roasted red pepper cheese ravioli and it was divine. The drunken brussel sprouts appetizer was also a favorite, and the espresso martini was delicious.”
“Food was incredible but alittle expensive for the area . Not trying to be mean but the lady manager was pretty dismissive when I was trying to collect my order at the bar. Pizza wasn’t with my food and had to drive back to get it. They blamed me and said it was next to my stuff. It was not. All that being said I still recommend this place just maybe the management tries a little harder to be nice to new patrons.”
“Seems it used to be much better but lately not as flavorful or enjoyable. Last few times we've eaten here we've been "forgotten" or someone else had to take care of us because our server was "tied up". Most recently another team member stepped up when she saw we were waiting 20 minutes after being seated.”
“Went here for a birthday, the waiter was pretty awful. He never asked us for anything, and I ended up getting my own drink refills at the bar. We needed to leave in a fairly timely manner, and the food took forever. We ordered a pizza, and it was horrible. The crust was black around the edges and was not even edible. Will not be going back.”
