The calamari is a standout—perfectly cooked, juicy and tender, with a light, delicate breading that delivers just the right amount of crunch. It’s one of those dishes we order every time we visit. “To celebrate our son’s deployment homecoming we wanted someplace special. Roots in Summit surpassed every expectation. From the moment we walked in the door the attention to detail was obvious. A card signed by staff welcoming our sailor home. The thank yous & welcome home from staff. They made excellent recommendations; made sure we were enjoying what we had and checked up on us to make sure if we needed anything else. They were both very professional, friendly and funny. “the food was good, but our server, richard, was great! he was very personable and he and the staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. carol, one of the hostesses, was welcoming and kind. we got the burrata, lobster bites, caesar salad, ny strip, prime ribeye, potato gratin, and the brussels sprouts. we enjoyed each item and got our dessert to go since we were stuffed! we went to celebrate our anniversary, and roots gave us a complimentary customizable ice cream to congratulate us. all in all, a great experience.”

“Roots is always a lovely time - very sophisticated ambience, delicious food and attentive service. It’s for sure pricey so we head here for special occasions. The menu is very nice — we started with Kobe beef sliders and waygu dumplings which were delicious. The chilled seafood tower was also nice — the calamari was ehh I would skip that next time as it wasn’t anything special for the price. We also had the 10 oz filets which were lean and very tender — the sides were Brussels sprouts and truffle fries. The Dessert selection was also very nice — we opted for the butter cake and layered carrot cake. Never disappoints!!!”
