“The Lesieur is a total hidden gem. The atmosphere here is unmatched—stepping inside feels like finding a secret, upscale underground spot. The dark bowling alley with the tin ceiling gives off such a cool, vintage industrial vibe that makes for an incredible night out with friends. The attention to detail is everywhere, from the candlelit stairways to the top-tier service and food. Whether you’re here for the lanes or just the aesthetic, it’s easily one of the best spots in the city. 10/10 experience, definitely coming back.”
“The food was all delicious, I specifically loved the New York strip that came with a house steak sauce and the Caesar salad was great as well. One of the best steaks I’ve had in the area. Really nice atmosphere and quick service. I’d love to try out some more cocktails soon”
“Dined here on Valentine’s Day weekend and snagged a super late reservation (10:30pm). Felt super guilty about it but tried to go in with low expectations and as prepared as possible to make this smooth for everyone. We arrived and our host informed us there would be a small wait (understandably) but offered for us water and to checkout the bar downstairs. (We already had reservations for a later date there) We were seated shortly after and I cannot tell you how AWESOME our server Casey was. (I hope that’s how his name is spelled if not I’m SO sorry 😢). As mentioned we were pretty certain about what we wanted and intended on making this a very cut and dry experience for the sake of everyone getting home safe and enjoying their night as much as us, but he was such a warm and welcoming spirit. I was concerned about the Mac and cheese being too heavy but he encouraged I get it to accompany the Pork Tomahawk we got. Everything came promptly and again, everyone was so sweet in a very compromising and normally chaotic circumstance.”
“I’ve been downstairs to Giuseppe & Sons so many times and wanted to give Bar Lesieur a try! The ambiance is great for a date night, filled with warm moody lighting. Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the atmosphere. We started with an espresso martini, which was fine. I much preferred my second drink, Queen Bee. We then got a caesar salad, we did not like it. It tasted watery like the lettuce was washed but not fully dried before putting the dressing on. Also, no croutons. We got the crab cake which we did enjoy. Had a nice crisp on the outside. $25 for one crab cake with no sides was pretty outrageous though. The mac & cheese was delicious! Lastly, we got the burger. I found it to be overcooked and didn’t have great flavor, my friend thought it was good. The fries were very crispy and tasty. Overall, for the prices and portion size, I was not impressed and unfortunately will not be coming back.”
“Desserts tasted like they were made from a factory. The chocolate cake tasted like a plane food dessert and the lemon tart tasted exactly like trader joes. Entree was okay I guess. The only thing I liked was the fries in steak frites. Not impressed, won’t come back. There’s plenty of other better restaurants in the city.”
