Milou is a French restaurant in the Toronto neighborhood of Toronto.
“We were looking for a place to eat after a gathering in the city, and my friend recommended we come here. Our group of 4 was accommodated for a walk-in; we were met with beautiful, rustic interior. We also noted that the volume level was perfect - just loud enough to recognize the playlist being played, but soft enough to hold a conversation at your table. We ordered some olives to start, some Caesar salads, and some burgers and frites - and our food didn’t disappoint! Olives were a great appetizer to start off our meal. I also love that the Caesar salad came with a thick slice of bacon on top. Aside from these, my burger was cooked medium, was quite flavourful, and paired well with the frites and aioli they come with. All in all, it was a wonderful meal in a wonderful atmosphere. Excited to come back!”
“My first visit to Milou was wonderful. From the moment I stepped inside, the service felt warm and attentive. I ordered the soft scramble with crème fraîche, and chives and from the very first bite, I was absolutely blown away. The eggs were delicate, airy, and beautifully creamy. I honestly can’t remember the last time I had eggs this good. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.”
“Looking forward to visiting again, thanks to Jeremy! I stopped by for a late lunch and had the seared cod. I was heading to a friend’s sauce/dip birthday party afterwards so I asked for a little cup of the gribiche sauce and Jeremy recommended I take some peppercorn sauce too. Really delicious. PS. The fresh grapefruit juice was 10/10”
“Visited recently while in the Dundas West area and as part of the recent Do West Festival, where they served a number of their popular items for the festival. They are a bistro-style diner with French-inspired items, and are moreso best known for their brunch offerings alongside their dinner menu. Their Steak Frites was one of those popular items served at the festival, as it came as a hanger steak served with peppercorn sauce and a garlic aioli to accompany the fries. The steak was cooked medium-rare, which was tender and had good flavour to it. The fries paired great with the garlic aioli and the peppercorn sauce that was leftover from the steak. While this appeared to be a smaller portion just for the event, it was still a good way to try it out especially given the popular reviews on their main menu items.”
“Milo’s cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The customer service was outstanding, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, making the experience even better. The only minor concern was that it felt a bit loud during brunch, but the lively vibe added to the energy of the place. Overall, Milo is a solid choice for anyone looking for great food and exceptional service in a warm, inviting setting. Be sure to make reservations; walk-in seating is also available.”
