“We would highly recommend Sunset Seafood. Bridget is always very welcoming and the staff are very pleasant and efficient. The lobster ravioli never disappoints and is the best around. I love that the food is served piping hot as well. We are thrilled that they are open for the season and will visit often.”
“We had a great meal. Food was outstanding and service was very good. Great views of the bay from this second story restaurant. My wife had the scallop special and I had the halibut special, both were excellent. The scallops were seared perfectly. The New England clam chowder was also very good. Dessert was key lime pie and lemon mascarpone cake. Both were delicious.”
“The place has great view. Outdoor seating available but for my opinion probably will be beautiful and better on the late evening with the lights on. Staff was great and super friendly. Food wasn’t the best but also wasn’t bad either. Manhattan clam chowder felt like wasn’t house made there was more veggies than clams.”
“Atmosphere and staff were excellent. Quality of food was good but portions were small, left hungry and pockets empty. The price for our meals did not match the quantity we paid for. The “pick your own scallops and shrimp” came with 3 scallops and 4 pieces of shrimp with a few pieces of string beans for $36. Dessert tasted premade and frozen. Bread was hard and muscles were overcooked. Would not go back.”
“The food was EXCELLENT! I'm fairly easy to please as my reviews will show. But I can tell you that I felt unwelcomed, insulted, and disrespected so I felt compelled to write this as the Management reached out to us to apologize for our experience. If you want details keep reading. Our friends went there before and insisted we try it out. They were there last season and it was terrific they said. We ordered Bang Bang Due (shrimp/calamari); however it was butterflied chicken instead of shrimp. When we asked about it they TOLD us it was shrimp. They look the same but taste very different. 2-3 of the staff finally conceded it was chicken after we cut 2 of them in half to show them it was chicken. We shouldn't have had to do that but they were insistent it was Shrimp. Our main courses were 2x clams and hot sausage and 2x salmon and spinach. That is our entire meal; look at the receipt and judge for yourself. When we inquired about the bill and that the sub-total and tax do not add up they said they'd need a manager. The manager took our receipt and quickly returned. I explained it doesn't add up and her response was your bill is "87.53, 175.07 divide by two". I explained again that the subtotal and tax don't add up and she got a calculator! 158.70 + 10.87 = 169.57. She added it up 3 times and kept clearing the total. I explained again that it didn't add up. she told us she didn't have time for this and literally slammed a $5.50 on the table turned around and left saying "have a nice night" as she walked away. We all walked out... We all talked about it on the ride home; this place is over 30 min from home and there are many great seafood places all around us so they chances we'll return is unlikely. It is just too far away for take out. Too bad the food is really EXCELLENT! why did I give it 1 star overall? well, I go out to eat for the food and the service, but the service made the experience simply horrible after a great meal with friends.”
