in the raw - on the hill is a Sushi restaurant in the Tulsa neighborhood of Tulsa.
“The food was excellent. The service.. not so great. She never even introduced herself or smiled. She seemed to always be in a hurry and wasn't very friendly. Dining out is more about the food. It's the whole dining experience.”
“The atmosphere is genuinely nice and we did get some very good service as the waitress was very nice when I ended up not eating the food. I’m sure the hot options are fine I would come back to give those a shot but my wife and I just did not care much for the sushi. It’s very sweet and fatty which if you like that is a bonus but I just couldn’t get behind it. Overall not a bad place but if you like more traditional sushi this might not be the place for you.”
“Had the edamame as the app and it did not taste very fresh. The sushi was cold and the rice tasted old. A good sushi roll should be about room temp. The fish tasted poor quality as well. It feels lazy, and I think they need to step up their game or get out of their funk. I generally don’t like leaving negative reviews but for the price you pay, it’s not worth it to come to this restaurant for the food alone. The service and atmosphere were great. The view of the town is phenomenal especially during a sunset… which really makes me wish the sushi was better given this great location.”
“This place has an outdoor patio with a great view. That's about where the perks end. It took longer than expected to get our food for a Wednesday lunch time that was honestly not that busy. I would not recommend this place if you have an hour lunch break because you'll need to spend at least 1.5 hours here. We got the fried rice, Tuna nacho, in the raw combo, and another specialty sushi roll with soft shell crab. I would say that the sushi is way underwhelming for what you get at this price point. The specialty roll is nothing out of the ordinary. The most disappointing thing has got to be the fried rice. Literally sushi rice with soy sauce, an egg, and scallions sprinkled on top. The best of it all was the tuna nacho, but for the price and portion, I wouldn't get it again. Overall, food was a dud, the waitress was attentive, but it took too long to get the food. The best part is the view from the patio. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless they are desperate for a sushi fix.”
“I couldn't tell you if the food is any good, our waitress apparently forgot to put our order in and didn't acknowledge us or check on us or the food. At the 45 minute mark we asked for a manager and was told it would be about 15 more minutes. By that time we lost our appetite for the place and went down the street to Oishi Sushi and not only had impeccable service at Osishi, but served in a timely manner. Also, we never got our sake at ITR either. Based on similar reviews, there seems to be a pattern at ITR.”
