Yakiniku, in Japanese, means to barbecue! The owners of FUTAGO were born as twin brothers in Osaka, the most popular city for yakiniku in Japan. Futago means “twins” in Japanese. Establishing their first FUTAGO restaurant in the year of 2010 in Tokyo, we developed a unique “FUTAGO style” concept, which is selecting the best quality meats and serving it at half the portion and price so that you can enjoy a variety of meat at one time, compared to all the other BBQ restaurants. Now, we offer Gift Card online. You can purchase physical card and E-gift certificate. Please use this link for Gift Card - https://futago25usa.cardfoundry.com/giftcards.php
“I tried the $60 all-you-can-eat buffet for lunch at Yakiniku Futago, and honestly, it's a solid deal if you love meat. My personal favorites were their fried chicken (seriously good) and the marinated kalbi. I also really enjoyed the egg drop soup, but don't expect the Chinese version. This one is made with beef marrow, which felt lighter and almost healthier. And I really liked their housemade ponzu dipping sauce. It complements the meat perfectly. My table managed three rounds of meat before we had to call it quits. What I appreciated most were the salads and cold appetizers like kimchi, spinach, and edamame. They really helped cut through the richness of all that meat. All of these side dishes are unlimited which I really appreciated. Overall, if you're a meat lover and want to impress someone, Futago is a great spot. At $60 for AYCE, is a bargain if you actually eat all that meat. They do have higher priced options and A5 Wagyu if you want to splurge, but for me and my party, the $60 tier was more than enough. Service was very attentive, and the place is spotless. You can tell just by stepping into the restroom. Would recommend if you want to impress someone.”
“Had such a fun time at Yakiniku Futago. We tried the Pre-Fixed Menu and honestly everything was so good — especially the Wagyu beef grilled right at the table. The menu included Assorted Kimchi & Namul, Edamame, Spinach Garlic Salad, Leaf Vegetables, Asazuke Kimchi, Potato Salad, Niku Sushi, US Wagyu Beef & US Beef, Hot Stone Garlic Rice, and Shaved Milk Ice for dessert — and it all worked so well together from start to finish. Every dish was prepared with so much care, with perfect presentation and incredible flavors throughout. We also had an Espresso Martini and the Ichigo cocktail, which were perfect with dinner 🍸 The atmosphere was great, the service was super attentive, and overall it was such a pleasant experience from start to finish. Definitely such a fun Japanese BBQ spot in NYC. Definitely recommend checking it out! ✨”
“Very unique dining experience. We were scheduled to go during restaurant week but I came down with a terrible cold and had to reschedule. The dining experience is very different. We ordered grilled vegetables, filet , tempura roll and truffle fries. The grilled food is cooked in front of you on a grill built into the table. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent. We went early so it wasn’t crowded and it was easy to converse.”
“Came here to celebrate a birthday for restaurant week, paid $60 per person for a three course prix fixe and received amazing food, service, and experience! The staff explained each dish but was not overbearing. Their kimchi was amazing, authentic Korean style as opposed to the more mild Japanese style. The meat was very high quality and we had fun grilling it ourselves, we didn’t have any food smell on our clothes after. The matcha tiramisu was amazing and they gave us a complimentary dessert with candle for the birthday! We were worried it wasn’t going to be enough food but we were very full after. The food was thoughtfully coursed out, so it was filling.”
“Absolutely loved my experience at Yakiniku Futago! The meat quality was amazing — super tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Everything was grilled perfectly and melted in my mouth. One of the staff April was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience feel warm and welcoming. Portions were great and the atmosphere was cozy. Definitely one of the best yakiniku spots in NYC. Can’t wait to come back!”
