“Come here if you want to feel like family and if you want to know what it’s like to be in a Filipino house! So welcoming, so friendly, and just so warm and inviting. And the food matched the vibe…such good Filipino food! Big portions and just scrumptious and flavorful!! Our first time eating lumpia as a lettuce wrap with cotija cheese…like what?!! Sooooo good! This place was such a great representation of Filipino culture. We were visiting from Seattle, but would definitely come back here when we come back up to Vancouver.”

“We had a family dinner at HALINÁ today, and it exceeded our expectations! The food was absolutely amazing, especially the sisig and chicken inasal. It was my first time trying these famous Filipino dishes, and I loved them so much. The staff were all super friendly and attentive, and they made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. To top it all off, we were surprised when the whole team — including the kitchen staff — came out with lights and tambourines, singing “Happy Birthday” for our tito who celebrated his birthday today. Such a sweet and memorable moment! Thank you so much, guys, for the wonderful experience and excellent customer service. We’ll definitely come back!”

“Nice to have a modern Filipino restaurant again! We were big fans of Rekados on Main years ago. Halina is a new favorite after a recent visit. We started with the Chickcharron, fried chicken skin, a true guilty pleasure. We followed that with pork belly, pancit and chicken tinola, all having a .modern twist. Shared the ube cassava cake for dessert. Every dish was appealingly plated, flavorful and generously portioned. Very upbeat atmosphere and very clean. Service was excellent. Will definitely return again, especially with our non-filipino friends.”

“EXCELLENT experience!! Came in as a group of 9 to celebrate a friend's birthday. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Iska, our server, was very friendly and helpful. She was also patient with our group when ordering. We brought our own cake, which they stored for us while we had dinner. When it came time for the cake, the staff came out and sang Happy Birthday. From the food portion size to the quality and taste of the food.... EXCELLENT!! We ordered a variety of appetizers and main dishes, all of which were well seasoned and tasty. The atmosphere and ambiance and vibes of the restaurant were also very good. Their cocktails and mocktails were also on point and very tasty. We would all recommend and go back. Please keep up the great work in representing the Filipino community in Vancouver. Salamat”

“It was O.K. The staff are lovely and the service was first class. My burger had an excellent meaty patty which was clearly in house but the bun was dry. My personal feeling was there was to much sauce. The fries where flacid but not inedible. The other Filipino dishes were O.K. but didn't compare to more traditional Pinoy cuisine. Portion sizes were good.”
