“I stumbled across Hama Hama by chance during a road trip and am incredibly glad we decided to stop. This was one of the most memorable lunches of our entire journey. The food was outstanding – fresh, local, and prepared with great care. Sitting in one of the cozy outdoor cabins, with a fire burning right by the water, created a truly unique atmosphere. Even on a rainy day it felt special! I can only imagine how beautiful it must be in the sunshine. If you’re passing through the area, do yourself a favor and stop here. An unforgettable experience and an easy recommendation.”
“This restaurant was an absolute find! Talked away on Highway 101 with a cool name like Hama Hama this restaurant has it all! Delicious food, incredible view, natural unique ambiance! You said outside under some cover at picnic tables and eat the most delicious oysters, mussels looking out on Hood Canal with a bald eagle perched on a tall tree. Even grilled cheese sandwich was out of this world! The food was so good that I forgot to even take a picture of it before I ate it all! Highly recommend!”
“We had the most perfect weather day, so it made the experience even more fantastic. We were there mid-May, so not the Summer crowds yet, but it was still busy. The oysters were delicious. The coleslaw is worth trying, and we also had the house pickles. Everything was great. Highly recommend a visit. Make sure to make a reservation prior!!”
“We had an amazing time here! They offer 2 type of dining experience. First one is a quicker wait where you order from the food truck/ general store and you can sit at any open tables in that area. Second option is a longer wait if you don't have a reservation, but will get you a table in a cool A-frame setting with the beach view. Wait was about 45 min-1 hour on the day we went. The food truck has about 60% of the items that the restaurant offers and that was good enough for us. We ordered fried oysters, fish and chips and a U-Shuck oysters bucket. Everything was so fresh and we love the experience. The restaurant carry some items that we didn't see at the food truck such as clams & grilled oysters. The general store is where you can find small gift items like keychain, magnets, dish towel, fresh seafood to go (dungeness crab, oysters, scallops, fish) and where you'd order the U-Shuck bucket. The oyster bucket already come with gloves and oyster shucking knife. Definitely worth a trip to enjoy the experience!”
“Hama Hama gets top marks for the experience. This place is great and the atmosphere is super cool. It’s much bigger than I expected with tons of seating outside. You have to walk up to an outdoor counter to order your food and they give you menu with the table number on it and will bring the food out. They have a little shop where they sell wines, merchandise and more, including live crabs. They have a simple menu, which I thought was great and they sell wine and beer. It was really cold when we went, but I can imagine how this place is alive with nice weather. They did offer heaters, so you are somewhat warm when eating. They offer fresh oysters and we ordered half of the raw and half of the roasted. The kids ordered the grilled cheese sandwiches which were delicious. We also ordered the.seafood chowder which had a nice flavor. You can eat outside with views of the water and what appears to be a huge mound of oyster shells. We’ll have to go back in the summer and I imagine it would be even more amazing.”
