Hunter's Bar and Grill

“A friend and I met at Hunter's Bar on a Tuesday evening. Parking out front was crowded and my friend needed to park in the rear. We were seated without a reservation at 7 pm. The restaurant was nearly full of what appeared to be local patrons. While there was noise from the many conversations in our half of the restaurant (not the half with the bar), we could easily hear each other speak. The wine orders were served promptly as were the entrees. The dinner menu was quite varied with sandwich, salad, and beef and seafood entrees. My onion and Swiss burger with fries was delicious and messy good. My friend enjoyed her salmon nicoise salad. The server was attentive. It was a pleasant dining experience. While I am not frequently in Potomac, this is a place to which I would like to return.”

“From the outside, this restaurant doesn’t look like much, but inside it’s quite nice. The décor is simple and tasteful, making it suitable for casual business lunches or slightly more formal gatherings with friends or family. The service is good, attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. I really enjoyed the crab dip. The portions are generous, with big chunks of crab legs throughout, and it’s wonderfully creamy. The burgers are full of flavor and very tasty. A nice surprise: burgers are half-price every Saturday. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience.”

“The was absolutely great! We ordered the popcorn shrimp and crab dip for appetizers, the kids had salmon, we had lobster Mac, pork chops, stuffed fish, and mussels. The server was very good with great customer service and the chef came to our table! Superb Resturant! This is my new favorite hidden gem!”

“Hadn't been in 26 years as last time was there for my birthday (I don't live here anymore). I was really impressed, glad I went and glad I picked my entree. Inside looks great, very clean. Elegant without being stuffy. I got corn on the cob which was awesome, would go back just for that was it was only 5 bucks. So really impressed with the Chicken Parm. Another restaurant who has two locations nearby has one a couple bucks cheaper, but half the size (or smaller). Swapped out my pasta for angel hair. Going to suggest to my family that we return as this is off the beaten path. Great job guys and I need not to wait another 26 years. Good food, great service, and pretty good value as well. A solid player.”

“Service & Food quality have really gone down since new owners took over! I used to really enjoy coming for HH or dinner. Lately it’s so gloomy and menu items have no flavors. I remember when they had Lamb chops, Crab lump cakes and Great Ribs. Now it’s just a bland menu. And the servers don’t even want to be bothered with any questions. Just order and go get your own water while there busy on there phones looking for a new job!”
