The legendary Joe’s Stone Crab first opened in Miami Beach in 1913. It all began when Joseph Weiss, the “Joe” of Joe’s Stone Crab, and his wife Jennie set up seven or eight tables on the front porch of the house they owned. 100 years later, Joe’s has become one of the most beloved and widely recognized restaurants in the world, famous for its Florida Stone crab, signature sides and Key lime pie. In 2000, a partnership was born between the Sawitz/Weiss family and renowned restaurateur Richard Melman, founder of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises (LEYE). Based in Chicago, LEYE, is one of the nation’s leading independent restaurant groups, owning, managing and licensing nearly 100 establishments. Together they opened Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab in Chicago, a restaurant featuring a selection of prime steaks, quality seafood and the signature dishes of Joe’s Stone Crab. The restaurant quickly built a reputation as one of the most popular restaurants in Chicago. In 2004, Joe’s premiered in Las Vegas at The Forum Shops at Caesars and soon became one of the most sought after dining destinations on the Strip.
“This place is amazing. I was honestly surprised by how good it was, and since it was Restaurant Week, it was definitely worth it. I enjoyed this restaurant so much, and I still think about the food since going. You definitely need to come try it out. Rating per dish: * Stone crab (Select): 10/10 * Oyster on the half shell: 10/10 * Filet mignon: 10/10 * Branzino: 8/10 * Mashed potatoes: 10/10 * Key lime & blueberry pie: 7/10”
“The best meal I've ever eaten. Loved the porterhouse steak. It was so tender, juicy and flavorful. I couldn't let a bite go to waste despite all of the other delicious sides. And the coconut cream pie is sooo good. Ask for it with the chocolate goldbrick sauce on top. You won't regret it.”
“This has moved into our top 2 Las Vegas restaurants (tied with Mon Ami Gabi) after the fabulous dinner last night! We had the butter scallops & crab stuffed prawns which were both delicious. We also enjoyed both sides (broccolini and a sweet potato with a sweet butter) that ended up being so much food, that we didn’t have room for a desert. Wie’ll have to remember for next time to plan better as the choices looked delicious They also have a very well curated wine list and we noticed a Sommelier guiding one of the tables near us which is great if you have questions. A definite will return on our next Vegas trip.”
“If you’re in Vegas and looking for a great Steakhouse to eat, go here. I went here with my boyfriend and it was nothing short of a perfect experience. Our server, Rob, helped make the experience about 100 times better. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. He had answers to all of our questions, and was overall just a great server. We got our food, and everything was perfect. I ordered a 16 oz NY Strip with a baked potato, and my boyfriend got Herb Crusted Chicken with Mac N Cheese and everything tasted amazing. This was arguably the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. If we are ever back in Vegas, we will be visiting again. Also, reservations are a must here.”
“1st off Mark was great!! Very professional and kind. He deserves 5 stars. The vibe is nice. The essential seafood/steakhouse type vibe. The overall three star rating is driven by the food. The flavors just did not "pop" as one would expect for this type of establishment. A little season would turn this into a 5 star review!! The crab bisque is definitely a hit.... VERY DELICIOUS. Cocktails were standard; nothing absolutely amazing.”
