“Heard great things about Mr Moto so we decided to try it — and it definitely lived up to the hype! Great food, fresh sushi, and such a fun atmosphere. Sushi chef Kenji was super friendly and made the experience even more memorable. Loved watching the sushi being prepared right in front of us. Will definitely be back!”
“Mr. Moto is an intimate, hidden gem that delivers simple, fresh, and elegant dishes. The experience begins before you even walk in — you need a secret entry code by calling the phone in the mailbox outside. There are only 12 seats in total: 6 at the sushi counter and 6 at a private table, which makes the experience feel incredibly personal and exclusive. We were welcomed by the head chef from Japan, who has over 50 years of experience as a sushi chef. He presented a beautiful wooden box of fresh fish flown in from Japan that very morning. Standout dishes included:• Bluefin tuna — incredibly rich and full of flavor• Beautifully presented appetizers• Torched scallop• Toro topped with Osetra caviar• A tender tuna hand roll to finish the meal perfectly The intimacy of the setting, combined with smooth and attentive service, made the entire experience feel truly special. The bill at the end was also very reasonable compared to other omakase establishments in the city, especially considering the quality and freshness of the fish.”
“Came here for a birthday dinner, and the fish was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The servers were attentive, friendly, and very accommodating to allergies. Highly recommend!”
“I can’t think of a more perfect place for an anniversary dinner! The Office of Mr Moto delivered on exceptional high quality food and wonderful service. We had Kenji as our head chef and he is so talented and kind as he prepared 21 courses at the counter for us. Every piece of fish is so fresh and the presentation was so beautiful. The Japanese snapper, king salmon and tuna’s were my favorite. And the oyster starter was the best I’ve ever had. I also loved the truffle and caviar course, it melts in your mouth. I highly recommend the sake pairing - they match every dish perfectly and the apple one was incredible! You have to check out the speakeasy downstairs before you leave. It is so charming and there’s a piano that plays itself, it’s so enchanting! If you’re looking for a phenomenal and memorable omakase experience, this is the place to go.”
“Heard a lot about this place and finally had time to go try it. The whole experience is cute, and it's nice they created the lore around the whole place. The decor is also pretty nice, especially with the lounge and piano in the basement. Unfortunately the food was only average. The whole dinner felt a bit rushed and basically for a 21 course omakase took only 1.5 hours. For other places it would normally take over 2 hours. Some pieces were quite good, but majority of the sushi was a bit bland and many pieces felt similar. The price itself was ok for the service and quality.”
